I wasn’t sure how I felt about the e.l.f. putty blushes when I first tried them. The shades swatched beautifully on my hand but I just couldn’t get them to apply how I wanted them on my face.

I stumbled across this brush and picked it up on a whim, and I didn’t expect much at all. At first glance I thought the brush was a little sparse and I was sceptical about it being able to apply better than my other brushes and sponges.

I WAS SO WRONG!! I don’t know what it is about this brush that’s better than my other ones, but it makes applying the elf putty blushes and blending them SO easy and the end result is stunning! Such a quick, effortless but beautiful flush of colour on your cheeks.

It applies the product subtly with one layer for a natural look but you can also easily use the brush to layer the product for more colour (and it applies and blends just as easily after multiple layers). The brush itself isn’t the softest of the brushes I own, but that’s also largely due to it being a stippling brush (so it naturally won’t be as fluffy and dense as a powder brush for example). That being said, the individual hairs are actually quite soft and it isn’t unpleasant on my face whatsoever.

It doesn’t leave any brush streaks and I have noticed very minimal shedding in the 2+ months I’ve been using it (and I’m talking 2-3 hairs MAX). There was no weird smell or anything when I first opened it but, like any new makeup brush, definitely wash it before using it on your skin. It seems to be holding up incredibly well so far, it’s still like how it was the first day I got it, but even if it doesn’t hold up long term I would still recommend this brush to anyone that uses the putty blushes. You can’t beat the price for just how fantastic the brush actually performs!!

I love the shades of my putty blush, and my putty bronzer. But I was in a pickle as to application. Hands weren't efficient, and none of my other brushes picked up enough product for even the light, sheer application I desire, nor my sponges. So I got this and everything changed for the better. Well, not everything - I still make crap money and the world is still plummeting rapidly into chaos and despair. But my blush and bronzer are bloody fabulous. This is a smaller brush, so fits nicely into putty pots and I am able to swirl my brush around to pick up enough product, product which the brush then deposits onto my skin and is able to buff in perfectly. Between ELF and RT brushes, I will never think of buying a pricy brush again. These are terrific brushes. I ordered two more, one for my bag and one specifically for bronzer. And yes, will repurchase.
