    Even though the product was decent quality and easy and comfortable to use, I wouldn't recommend it because the small size just isn't efficient for most weeding projects. This was my first time using a flame weeder and I successfully used it for several months to keep weeds down in a gravel driveway, to kill weeds in the lawn and to kill weeds in vegetated areas where I want the native plants to take over. But 24,000 BTU is really too small and slow even for my careful weeding style. Also, the rectangular shape of the flame head wasn't as useful as I thought it would be, in fact made it difficult to focus the flame where I wanted it. The ignition button only worked for re-igniting which was still useful when stopping and restarting. I am upgrading to a 100,000 BTU flame weeder because I value my time and I'm now comfortable with flame weeding.
    Note, mostly aimed at young annual weeds (and some seed heads, figuring if they were fried they couldn't germinate), didn't burn weeds to a crisp just super desiccated them, and only worked when the area was at least damp and not dry.

    Please note that you don't have to turn the plant to black charcoal for a weed burner to work. Lookup a fact sheet on proper weed burning before you waste fuel on plant cremation services!

    This unit is incredibly well balanced and portable. Does a great job at creating heat. Starter works well. Bakes the weeds, but doesn't get enough heat down into the roots to ensure a good kill on large established perennials unless the tank is completely new/full. This initially seemed like a good middle ground between the regulated high BTU models and the small pencil torch. It's closer to the small torches because of the pressure limitations of the smaller 1 lb cylinders. Personally will be returning for their larger model for use on my gravel driveway since i don’t have as much time to regularly torch new sprouts. If you have time to catch weeds while they are small this size will work great for you.
