About this item

  • EASY TO USE – Resin applies easily from a single tube cartridge using a standard caulking gun. The clear-coloured product self-mixes through nozzle, leaving no mess
  • CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRS – Multi-purpose product is compatible with wood, concrete and masonry substrates. Can be used for sealing dry or damp interior slabs and exterior above grade slabs
  • DURABLE - Two-component moisture-tolerant epoxy resin is five times stronger than concrete and demonstrates high early-strength development for resilient bonding on structural concrete and masonry
  • VERSATILE - The multi-purpose resin acts as effective grouting around bolts, dowels, pins and fixings as well as providing excellent tenacious bonding for structural concrete cracks
  • EFFECTIVE - The product's low viscosity allows it to deeply penetrate and seal hairline cracks with only a thin layer of adhesive to bond the hardened concrete. Ideal for small, on-grade cracks

Clear epoxy resin works best for hairline crack size.
4 out of 5 stars
Clear epoxy resin works best for hairline crack size.
It came with 2 sets of attachments and a resealable cap. 180ml doesn’t sound like a lot but it’s enough to seal two 5 feet long cracks on concrete. Very strong chemical smell, wear a mask and use only in a well ventilated area. I tested it on a garage concrete pad. The crack is about ⅛-¼ wide. It was very running like clear syrup. Works really well for filling the crack and self leveling. Take your time and refill the crack if needed. A bit sticky on touch after half an hour. Feels solid overnight and will be fully cured after 7-14 days. No water can go through the crack anymore, and a smooth surface will not trap any dirt or salt. This product is designed for use on well leveled surfaces. Works best for hairline crack size. It’s a bit pricey but hopefully this is the permanent solution instead of redoing it every spring.

I used it to fill cracks in concrete. Use it only on perfectly flat surfaces. On surfaces that are not 100% flat, the epoxy will run off into unintended areas, and these unintended areas of coverage will be very hard to clean. This epoxy will tend to dry to a super-hard compound, which is great if it's applied in the right places, but really difficult to remove if it's not. Compared to paste-based epoxies that I have tried (for sloping surfaces), I found this epoxy to dry to a harder substance. I also found that, when applied to concrete cracks, I might have to apply more compound the following day because shrinkage had occurred overnight, or the material has been absorbed into the concrete.
    Excellent for flat surfaces.

The Epoxy resin works as advertised. Beware though that it has a low viscocity (flows easily). To fill cracks in a vertical surface, drill a hole in the crack under a 45 degree angle and cover the crack below it with mortar.
Once the mortar has set, use a caulking gun to inject the resin with the included mixing nozzle (it comes with two nozzles so you can stop halfway). Go slow and steady untile the resin reaches the injection hole.
For large cracks you might need a couple of cans.

This has a water viscosity. On concrete block, it sucks right in like water, which is what I wanted. On a concrete basement slab, it would penetrate the crack. You have to use it all right away, and because of the internal bags, it stops a few inches early.

Attempted to seal an extensive crack in basement floor varying in width. It can seal a crack up to 2 mm in width. Useless in cracks wider than that.

This SIKA product works perfectly (if you follow the directions). Its easy to use, bonds well and is extremely durable. There are cheaper products on the market, but I find that you get what you pay for. I recommend SIKA

Current price point at the time/date of this review: $28.42 with a 7% discount provided by the seller. I’ve never used a “crack fix” epoxy/resin injection in this format and size, as such I’m highly inexperienced with it. I used this to fill the holes in a brick wall and it seemed to have kinda-sorta worked, not really sure at this point and will need to check up on it. I understand this is for filling cracks, but the holes/gaps I’m filling are relatively small in size. I will update this post well into the foreseeable future only IF I encounter any premature/unexpected issues with it once it’s been set for a long time though all the seasons and temperature extremes.

One thing I’m a little confused about: This product is advertised on the product page header as a “low-viscosity” liquid, and doesn’t “low-viscosity” suggest it shouldn’t be so runny? It’s a little “runnier” than expected, perhaps the term: “medium-viscosity” would have been more apt.

Bloody expensive, right? So it might seem… I’ll remind you this is epoxy/resin type liquid and they generally don’t go for cheap, especially at larger volumes/capacities such as the case with this particular unit.
