I bought this for a baby thinking it would be easier but it gave me significant different readings for the back of neck, forehead and armpits and I wasn’t sure which one to go with… it was very frustrating
I made sure I held the temperature gun super close to the sites too because I wanted to get the most accurate reading

The neck was 36.8, forehead was 37.1 and armpits instead of green light, it turned to red light and read 38.7. When I measured each site more than one time, sometimes it was .1 off which was ok but when is this big of a difference, like one site shows fever, another site shows no fever, it is very concerning.

In the end it turns out that the baby was just too fussy so he was slightly warmer because he cooled down after a while when he was resting and showed no behavioural signs of fever

I ended up buying a standard axillary thermometer which was much more accurate. I feel that the room setting was also inaccurate because we have a smart thermometer in the baby room to monitor the temperature at all times and when I aimed the gun in the room, it gave a higher reading than the smart thermometer as well.

I would not recommend buying this product as the only thermometer at home.
