A bit of a shame as this is the most affordable 2.5g network adapter on amazon right now.

I'm certain that if it had worked, it would be fine. However, this was not my case. It would allow me to download some stuff, get hot, stop uploading and then completely disconnect.

I suppose you get what you pay for in terms of relative no-name products. Sure, its a broadcom adapter inside, but if the rest of the work is shoddy, doesn't matter how reputible the supplier is.

Plugged in, instantly acquires a 2.5gbps connection and transfers files from my NAS - file server at 300 Megabytes per second ,which is about 2.4 gigabits per second - about as close as you will get to 2.5gbps. This is using a QNAP 2.5 Gigabit 5 port switch QSW-1105-5T and my file server (NAS) is running OpenMediaVault with Cat 6 ethernet cable. Operates fine through both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 sockets.
A far better experience that the Anker 2.5G adapter I previously tried on the same set up that refused to negotiate anything more than 1gbps - so that was returned as it clearly wasn't compatible with the iMac (of maybe Ventura Mac OS)

Niestety nie wyciąga deklarowanej prędkości. Mam łącze 2gigabit od Orange, router Funbox 10 z jednym portem 10G, kabel 8kat no i laptopa Lenovo Legion 5 który ma wbudowany port 1Gbit. O ile ta wbudowana w laptop karta sieciowa wyciąga pełne 1032Mb/s czyli 1G to ten adapter nawet tego nie daje rady, tylko jakieś marne 760Mb/s nie wspominając o 2.5G. Kupiłem go z myślą, że wykorzysta pełne 2 gigowe łącze a tu lipa. Szukam teraz kolejnego adaptera.
Żeby nie było, testowałem też na drugim laptopie.
