The Genesis 20-Inch Box Fan is an energy efficient fan with innovative design. It has been constructed with a durable copper motor to last longer. This powerful floor fan is perfect for cooling a bedroom or an office. The 20" head gives you the option to place it on the floor, on a dresser, or on a table. The 3 fan speeds give the option of how cool you want the fan to blow. This fan has been ETL listed with UL approval and employs overload safety protection with a fuse in the plug.

    First of all it was my honest mistake, I haven’t noticed it’s size. I mean, I knew it is 20 inches in blades but..
    anyway. This thing moves a ton of air even in a slowest speed. And it’s great.
    But it’s loud as F. On the speed 1 it sounds like the plane passes by. On the speed 3 it sounds like the plane doing the take off next to your window. 😅 it’s really loud so be aware.

    But it’s okay to me as long as it doing it’s job.

    This is our third unit, we used the 1st 2 we bought in Corsi-Rosenthal boxes (DIY air purifiers, look it up!). They're very powerful and help create air changes quite fast (in the CR boxes, it means as powerful as commercial air purifiers but at a fraction of the cost). This one was bought to put in the window to help with ventilation. Being in a basement, most windows are small and the air just doesn't circulate. We ended up with symptoms of carbon dioxide (CO2) poisening and our monitor showed it was way too high. Putting a box fan like this in one window, pushing the inside air out, makes a ton of difference!

    It's downside is that it's very noisy, even on the lowest setting. So we turn it on a few times during the day, at the maximum setting, from 15-30min, and it's enough to clear the air of the whole apartment.
    I honestly don't think there are similar fans being more silent, so I definitely recommend these!

    It effectively buffers ‘outside’ noise (when in room fan is located) thus provides conducive bedroom environment to sleep
    3 perfect speeds, not overpowering tornadic velocity, but effectively blowing out air serving purpose
    Cons:
    It hums louder than an average desk oscillating fan - therefore Audio on TV or a radio ect would definitely need increase in volume to hear while fan in operation

    The fan I received has a ticking noise, more noticeable on lower levels. On the top setting it's barely noticeable and produces a good amount of white noise for sleep, but the second I put it into a lower setting the white noise is drowned out with an annoying ticking sound making it impossible to sleep. If I hadn't received a faulty product, I would probably give this 4, maybe even a 5 star rating but given my experience with the fan I received I can't give it higher than a 3

    I bought this fan while it was on sale. I use the lowest setting for this fan and it's pretty good and it's not super loud unless you use the maximum setting. It doesn't tilt or anything so keep that in mind. I put it by my window for air circulation and so far I am satisfied with the product. I suggest wait for the sale before purchasing.

Fan is 4 years old still going strong used every night and almost 24hrs a day in the summer. I figure there's 15k to 20k run time hrs and has no signs of being worn out.

    Love this! 3 speed, 2 is more air than speed 3 on other box fans. Fully assembled. Lightweight. Has two stabilizer legs on the bottom that you need to turn to provide good stability for high air flow (arrows show direction). Loud (for people who use it for white noise & cooling during sleep). Excellent value for money. I will absolutely purchase another one.

    I use this fan for sleep and it's perfect!! I'm a hot sleeper who needs the noise of a fan to sleep, so I was looking for one that had high air flow and loud but smooth sound; most box fans these days are too quiet, so it's tricky to find one I like. It has 3 speeds, and I've only had to use 3 once. Speed 2 moves more air than my last box fan (that was higher air & sound than the 2 I'd tried before that, so I almost bought that one again but decided to take a risk on this one based on reviews, and I'm glad I did!!)

    If you're looking for a quiet fan, this isn't for you. It has a smooth sound, but it is loud- it drowns out any background sound like city traffic. It moves a ton of air on both 2 & 3, great for cooling down a room or sleeping in a wind tunnel ;)

    This is a great value for the price, I'll start with that. However, if you have animals it will be compromised rather quickly as the hair/dander enters the motor, not to mention the grates which will require constant upkeep. However, as mentioned, for the price I view it as a disposable product. When it's brand new, it pushes out a substantial amount of air and got me through the very hot California 2024 Late Summer. You can definitely do far worse for the price, and I recommend it for those that do not own animals (at least that won't be around it) and to keep up on up-keep if you want to have it last longer. Once again, it's a 'disposable' electronic in my eyes due to the price, so you can use it constantly for a year with no problem; I've spent more money on lesser fans that did not do what they said they did. It's a simple design that works well, when taking into account everything I mentioned.
