The standard automatic poultry feeder will hold 20lbs (9kg) of feed. Provide feed for up to about 6 chickens for up to 10 days. Our large box design size is suitable for all chickens, pheasants and is designed for smaller flocks up to 12 chickens. Constructed with high quality galvanized steel to withstand extreme outdoor conditions, providing excellent rust/corrosion resistance. Includes galvanised side guards that allow chickens to be trained to stand on the feeding plate. This also helps to protect the valuable feed from leaking from the feeder. Our wider outlet opening also allows roosters with large combs to easily access the feed. Mesh Fence/Anti-Slip Grid prevents chickens from throwing food and prevents chicken feed from being stolen by wild birds, rats/mice or large animals. Diamond pattern non-slip plate protects chickens from slipping. Do not use with young chicks as the action of the feeder may damage them. Chickens must weigh at least 1.8 pounds to activate and operate the feeder themselves. Always place the feeder on flat ground. Do not tighten nuts and bolts on connections. These have been factory set to be loose and allow free movement. Keep the feeder away from direct sunlight to avoid injury to chickens.
