Amazing kit for beginners, read my tips in the review
Already made the first one (see photo). This is my first project and did not want to spend a lot just to try whether I like it. But I am hooked. The wood quality is very nice and soft for beginners and the wood is cut well with no knots or randomly shaped grains. They gave 4 small and 1 big block of wood. Plus the knives are pretty sharp. Pro tips: 1. I didn't go for the DIY kits, instead used a couple of training videos on YouTube and I was set. 2. I bought a pair of No Cry gloves along with this to ensure my hands are protected. Though the box contains a bunch of band-aids - so considerate of them. 3. I live in a condo and don't like the wood chips to make a mess around the house, so I set-up a chair next to the wash basin or the kitchen sink and I happily whittle away!!! Awesome, engaging and cheap hobby to have!

I’m just getting into whittling and these blades are great for the detail work. Sharp out of the box! Really comfortable shape for the handles. Nice selection of wood blocks. Only quibble is there’s no real how-to booklet of designs - it’s a digital QR code to the BeaverCraft website. Still, really happy with the purchase. I used the detail knife to carve the bear. People online say go for Flexcut brand carving knives, but these from BeaverCraft are excellent.
