I had an iBolt windshield Mount that was really good but after 10 years, the suction cup tore. This Mount is obviously discontinued and has to find a replacement.
In the past, I already purchased Ugreen products and decided to give this one a try.
Let's just say that I'm not disappointed at all!
The suction cup is really strong (even stronger that my old iBolt). Well... I don't really know if the suction cup is really "suctionning" that much because the surface of the cup is reallllly sticky so it stays put very well just like that. I guess the suction action locks it down securely.
It is kind of hard to remove because the surface is so sticky! But it won't leave much residue. You can notice a circle where it was installed, but just wipe down and it's gone.
The spring-mounted grip is really strong and holds very well a Samsung Galaxy S8+ in an Otterbox Defender case (the very large case of this brand!).
I have a Grand Caravan and the arm is long enough so the phone is within reach! And every tightening screws are tight and strong enough so nothing budges out of position. But beware: if tightened too much, don't try to change the angles without loosening it a bit first because you might break something!
