This unit is very noisy, There is a solution! There are tiny mold seams on the machine rollers and the rolling edges of the drum. File down with a small file, then sand all the seams. I reduced the noise by 80% (might be bragging a little). Now it can run peacefully in the basement or garage.

I ordered this after getting rocks from another country. I was super excited to use it, but found out that it takes a ridiculously long time to get the rocks smooth there are several stages with different powders and it’s super loud. We had to move it into another room and shut the door then realize it was just going to take too much Power Hydro wasn’t worth . Re consider an other option for rock resurfacing… unless you have a garage and you plug it in there and let it run….I used it for a few days then quit it’s been in the box ever since. It makes sense logically you can’t surface a hard rock quickly but too much for me.

My kids love this. They work it by themselves as it is very simple and straight forward. The rock pieces included were not that great, either poor shape for tumbling or very small that all but disappeared on the 1st stage.
We quickly ordered more rough rocks to keep the experience going.
I would highly suggest to get the extra grit as the included packs will only get you half decent looking rocks that it came with.
Also you will need to order a much higher # grit (like 8000 grit aluminum oxide) for the final polish if you want shiny stones that aren't cloudy when dry.
This can be a very fun process to watch rough rocks become little gems. Try it!

So we bought this for our 6 year old after she got obsessed with a rock rumbler I watch on instagram. She wanted to get into it herself. She now looks forward to rinsing off the rocks and revealing them. Everywhere we go our 6 year old is picking up rocks to bring home to tumble so this has become a cherished family hobby.

The rock tumbler is definitely loud but we bought some plastic pellets to add to the rock tumbles and it helped cut down on the noise. We choose to set it up in the basement so we don't have to hear it during the day. The compacity of the tumbler is on the smaller size but is good for hobby use. The seal on the tumbler barrel seals well and haven't had an issue with it leaking. The motor seems like it's holding up well and haven't had any issues with it yet. It's user friendly and easy to use.

I am planning on buying another one for my niece for her birthday as well.

Die Trommel ist aus relativ festem Gummi und hat ausreichend Platz für 5 Kieselsteine mit ca. 5cm Durchmesser. Packt man zu viele Steine in die Trommel, dann dauert das Polieren länger oder funktioniert nicht weil die Steine sich nicht genügend bewegen können. Die Trommel ist dicht und läuft ganz gut… allerdings mit einem hörbaren Geräusch. Am besten man stellt den Tumbler in die Garage und lässt ihn dort laufen. Man kann die Drehzahl einstellen und mit einer Tages Laufzahl einstellen nach wie vielen Tagen das Gerät sich abschalten soll.
Wichtig ist, dass die die Steine sich gut bewegen und die Trommel dadurch rund läuft.
Na ja, und immer wieder betone ich das man Zeit braucht. Nach 5 bis 7 Tagen kann man dann die Trommel öffnen und den Inhalt ausspülen… Trommel und Deckel reinigen und mit der nächsten Poliermittelstufe befüllen… frisches Wasser einfüllen… Trommel gewissenhaft und mit Gefühl verschließen und los gehts.
