This GPS stand works just as intended , but I noticed that mine has a bit of resistance as I twist the part to install it to spread its sides into the cup holder. I think the inner parts may be just a little too tight at some point and make it feel as if it's already set up but isn't really yet. I had thought the item would be much sturdier. I presumed that from the images posted on the web.
The holder sank too deep into the cup holder and would need something inserted underneath it to bring it up to a workable height. I say workable height, because it has to be up to a certain height to be able to twist the ring which expands the bottom of the item to fit tightly into the cupholder. Even after eventually managing that, it still feels very wobbly and I think with an attached GPS it would wobble far too much to make the GPS readable.
