    It’s a great battery-powered spreader for lawn fertiliser. It does the job nicely. However, it is not able to break the clumps of fertiliser. You have to break the clumps by yourself. I think the motor is not strong enough to break the clump while it is running. Other than that, this is a great spreader for fertiliser.

    Received this item today and it was fantastic. I had a hand crank spreader that worked ok for fine lawn fertilizer but would immediately bind up when I tried larger pelleted fertilizer. I set it on 6 for a 10-10-10 pelleted fertilizer and it worked better than I ever expected. I have many larger flower and garden areas and it dispersed the granules very evenly. I'm sure it will work equally well for lawn fertilizer and ice melt.
