Why choose our charcoal baskets?

Onlyfire charcoal basket is well-made, affordable, and durable. It can turn a "simple" kettle grill into a valuable multifunctional barbecue and grilling tool.

The basket helps to keep the heat in the kettle, so you don't need to heat the air outside the grill.

Compared with the Weber original baskets, ours are much larger and higher, which means you can add more coals in it and get more efficient fuel burning, your kettle is less sensitive to the surrounding environment.

Two individual pieces come in the package. You can change to direct/indirect cooking easily as you need. There is plenty of space between the baskets to put a foil pan with water to keep foods moist during indirect cooking.

Use tips:

Place each charcoal basket on the outside edge of the grill to create the perfect indirect heat for slow barbecuing.

Or put the baskets together in the center of the grill for high direct heat to make a delicious steak!

    This is a quality charcoal basket.

    Having put the basket through several high temp sears with no ill effect, I can safely say this is a quality accessory.

    It fits in my 22" Napolean kettle; HOWEVER, it is a tad tall and you will lose the lowest of the 3 grate height options. This is not an issue as this basket is bigger and wider than the stock basket, so you'll be able to building a MUCH hotter fire, and wouldn't want to put your protein that close to the fire anyway.

    I can say this'll be the last basket that I'll ever buy.

    Heavy duty and works great in my 22" Weber kettle barbque pit. Holds quite a lot of charcoals. They are also perfectly spaced apart in my grill in which to hang a foil basket to put water in when I smoke meats. They're still holding up well after many uses and their are no signs of rust.     Great product, especially when combined with the water reservoir. It becomes a slightly smaller version of a Slow ‘n Sear, but at half the cost. Very sturdy build, and they fit perfectly between the charcoal & cooking grates on a Weber 22” and 26”. I believe they’d also fit on the 18”, but I don’t own one to try it out.
    My only complaint is that the walls are vertical instead of “flared out” like the OEM Weber baskets. Because they go straight up, they don’t really follow the contour of the kettle, and they don’t nest for storage. Not a huge complaint, but two features that would be nice.

    Incredibly sturdy and well built. It takes heat like a champ with no deformities. And this isn't for lack of trying either. I fill these with lump charcoal and light it up using a propane weed torch. With this amount of heat, one would expect to find bows and bends. No changes at all. I expect these to stand up to years of use.

    I also like the clearance between the charcoal basket and the grill grate. In my 22" weber kettle, the basket fits perfectly between the charcoal grate and the grill grate. This is incredibly useful not only for longer cook times but also a huge benefit when searing meat.

    Though two are included here, I find that one is enough for indirect cooking and searing. So something to consider as well would be going in on it with another grilling enthusiast and split the cost. As for me, well I'll now have a back up in case I eventually wear down the first one I'm using, which doesn't seem likely to happy for a long time.
