I bought a microwave oven with an extended warranty from Asurion. I returned the oven the next day and cancelled the policy. While they send me the warranty through email(very convenient and modern and in with the times), they have send me a label to send physically to their office in US(from Canada) to cancel the policy. How regressive is that?Why the complicated return process when it can be done electronically? To be fair, I have written to them and have got a reply from them regarding the return. I am still waiting for the money to be credited back into the account so I will update the review once/if that is done. Since this is an extended warranty (you already have a decent warranty on your product from the manufacturer), It would take 3-4 years before anyone can put this warranty to good use and give a comprehensive review. Not sure if its worth spending the extra 20 dollars and brave the complicated return process to see if it can be put to use in 3 years!! I'll pass!
I bought the extended warranty for a mini refrigerator/freezer that I sent to university with my son. I had no idea how much abuse it may have to endure so it gave me peace of mind to know that the appliance would be cared for if it ever got damaged. So far, the appliance is working very well so we haven’t had to see how easy or hard it will be to make a claim.
Bought this as I purchased a small kitchen appliance, a year later the product malfunctions. The process to go through the Protection Plan was very slow. I am on day three of trying to upload the proper documents to its site. Very frustrating.
Mes amis ont ce produit et jai décidé d’en acheté un identique. Toutefois au début il ne fonctionnait pas. J’ai donc débrancher et rebranché et ca fonctionné. J'espère ne pas avoir de problème pour le deuxième café. Je poursuis mon expérience. J’ai pris la garantie de deux ans qui je crois est indispensable.
