- Reviewed in Canada on November 12, 2023Verified PurchaseWhile there weren't any kind of instructions provided, it wasn't too hard to figure out how to fit this thing to my bike. The fixtures are highly customizable, meaning this rack will fit most bikes without any holes pre-drilled.
Although each parts are rather light (and thin) the fixtures are somewhat heavy and I've noticed the overall added bulk to my bike after installing this. It isn't a big deal, but it's noticeable.
That being said, it took a little while to adjust all the little screws to get the best fit, but in the end, it all worked out great. It feels about as sturdy as a bike rack in this price range ought to feel. I wouldn't use this rack to bring one of my pet hippos to the vet, but hey...
Still, in the end, one of the Allen keys provided to assemble this thing did not survive the experience.
RIP.

Got a new bike and had to reinstall this thing. 0/10. We can’t get it back on and it’s so overly complicated for no reason. Specifically the portion that attaches to your bike seat.
Just find one that comes with clear install instructions.
The other reviews are correct, it’s not that hard to install, once you figure it out, but not including instructions or tips is absolutely insane to me.
Hopefully the below helps someone else out. :)
Tips:
Get a pair of pliers, they will help you hold the back of the bolts when you are tightening the screws with the Allen wrench.
Then, take all the parts out and lay them beside you, it will make quick grabbing way easier.
Don’t fully tighten anything until you’re all done and you are happy with the position of every part. (Specifically the long bars)
Instructions:
1- install the rack to the seat first, then add the red reflector as you won’t be able to once you pull the rack out past the back.
2- unscrew the bottom of the rack and pull it out to the length you would like it to be. (It comes pretty short/ tight to the seat)
3- screw the long poles in (middle hole of the rack) and push them out until they are taught to keep the rack as far up off your tire as possible, then tighten the bottom that attaches to the sides of your bike. I found it was better higher up on my bike, but I’m sure every bike is different.
4- add the “W” side pieces and tighten them.
Once installed, it seems pretty sturdy, but time will tell.
My suggestion to the seller is to include a few steps/ tips or pictures. It would really make things so much easier for your buyers. You’ve made this unnecessarily annoying for absolutely no reason, especially after so many reviews commenting on no instructions.
