Bought this tape to seal the edges of my cheap offset smoker/grill. Totally seals the edges of the main grill and offset smoker box.

The tape was applied a couple of years ago and has survived an outdoor winter in eastern Canada.

This product would probably seal spacecraft doors quite well.

I bought this in 2022 for my offset stick burner. I put the gasket on my barrel lid and the door to the fire box. Both are still there and working great. I found that even preventing that heat around the door from escaping made a difference with helping me to regulate the smoke chamber. The added smoke is noticeable in the food. All doors leak, so grab some of this stuff. I'm buying another roll as I just bought a pellet grill and the door leaks like crazy. Every bit counts.

I bought a Traeger Silverton form my local Costco this summer and although the grill is grate (get it?), it does lack a good seal in it. I've seen many guys mod their grills with the "lavalok" type stuff so I hopped on-line to find something.

The branded stuff is quite expensive so I decided I would settle on this one for less money. The specs are all the same and I presume the materials are also similar. I can't compare to the branded stuff for sure as I don't have any to compare to.

This product seemed to fit the bill. It came simply packaged and was easy to manipulate. The installation was super simple since all I had to do was pretty much clean the grill with some degreaser and follow up with a bit of rubbing alcohol. After that, I just trimmed it to size and stuck it down.

The material feels quite firm and it sticks amazingly well to a clean surface. I had a bit of tough time trying to remove it to place it differently but it still worked. I'd suggest you make sure of where you want it before you start sticking it down fully.

Once I was done, I fired up the grill to see. I was a bit disappointed to see that some smoke was still leaking out but it was by far way better than it was. The only part that was really tough to regulate was the top back of the lid. The spacing gap is a bit larger there and I should maybe apply some to both the grill and the lid. The only issue with that is that it makes it quite a bit thicker and tough to close the lid properly.

Overall, it does a good job. I think the felt should probably be a bit thicker and more dense to work even better though. Application is easy and it does hold in the smoke in much better than if nothing was there. I would still recommend this as a solution especially considering the price point.

First, contrary to other reviews, it appears this does NOT contain lead or chromium. A search of the California Prop 65 website shows the only listing for products by Onlyfire is a type of brass valve. I suspect �鶹�� is putting the label on all Onlyfire Outdoor LLC products to avoid issues.

As to the product, it applies well, but the paper lining to the adhesive does not want to separate easily (a testament to the adhesive strength). I found that using the tip of a utility knife slid into the middle of the paper at the end, and almost parallel with it allowed it to come off well.

With the smoker set at 270, the gasket had no melting or other issues and was still holding firm to the metal.

I haven't had it long enough to rate the durability, but it does stick good to the surface. I bought it to seal the door of my pellet smoker to keep smoke from escaping around the edges. It does a good job near the top and on the sides where there is more pressure applied from the weight of the door, but around the bottom edge where's there's not as much pressure, it still allows a little smoke to escape. Overall, I would say that I'm satisfied with the job it's doing.
