I'm about certain these did nothing for hiding the baby poop smell. I mean, it was asking a lot out of a small carbon filter. It would probably be easier to potty train my 9 month old than find a way to disguise the atomic stink bomb that comes out of his cute tush. I used on our diaper genie elite, you don't need any case that I kept reading other review complain about, the area you put it in is built into the underside of the lid.
