I work on boats in salt water, I used to live on boats as well. I’ve had this knife for over 10 years, it’s on my belt whenever I set foot outside. It’s been with me on two oceans across North America for over a decade, I use it as my primary, mainly for scrapping and light prying. The tip isn’t bent, but has rounded off over the years, a far cry from the very sharp pointy tip it came with. I never bothered restoring the tip since it would be back to round within a few weeks given the use of the knife and I prefer it that way, less prone to unintentional poking and nice predictable scraping curve (paint, caulking, oxidation, etc). I do carry a very sharp folder as my secondary so that’s another reason why I dont bother with the dull tip on the Mora.

One of the best feature of this knife is the sturdiness of the tall blade, which I haven’t come across in other knifes. The combination of the height and heft, all the way to the tip, quality stainless steel, good handle with finger guard, proper sheath and balance between blade and handle dimensions make this knife unique.

The knife is easy to sharpen and will hold a great edge through most cutting tasks. I bought several more of this exact knife over the years as gifts for family members as well as work gear for my employee. I have lots of other knifes and I’m very hard to please when I comes to choosing a knife, regardless of price point. Among many factors, such as comfort, style, features, etc, a knife has to be practical. There’s a lot of knifes that I like but I don’t buy because I know I’m not gonna use them on the daily, regardless of price point. This knife is everything I need as an outdoor trades person needing a work knife and the price doesn’t do justice at how good it is in accomplishing the daily work. Truly an all around knife at a very affordable price point. Shame not many retailer carries it, because the taller blade really makes a difference compared to the other stainless mora knifes.

I love this knife. I bought it last week. I bought this one alongside the topq stainless for my dad. This one has a thinner blade than the topq but the blade is deeper. The sheath looks great but doesn't hold the knife as well as the old style on the topq.

I whittled out a fish whacker out of some very hard wood. It cut right through knots and was able to do deep cuts. At the end of it the blade was still very sharp but couldn't take off as much hair from my arm as before. A few minutes with my diamond sharpener 1200gr and it was out of the box sharp again. The scandi blade is really easy to sharpen. The factory edge almost looks a bit concave. I wonder if they just used a wheel to do them fast and left a little hollow grind on it. The knife is very comfortable and very very light. I have the Pro C on order which I feel is a better knife than the robust for what it is made for. Thinner blades slice better. If I need to pry I have other tools for that.

The only thing I don't like is the gap in the handle and the blade. water can seep into the crack. On the stainless its not so much a big deal but the Pro C I am going to have to put some wax or super glue to seal it up.

Overall I like these knives more than all of my other ones some being triple the price. I think the new shape of these craftlines are more suited for hunting with the drop point where as the companion and old craftline are almost a clip point.

A bit pricey due to the shipping...but still a great knife nonetheless.

A mora knife comes razor sharp and only needs to be stropped after use. Best bang for your buck...

I purchased one of these once before and gifted it to a friend...I had to replace it so I ordered this one. I would order another if something happens to it.

True to the Morakniv legacy, it's cheap, reliable, and works well. I would rate Morakniv one of Sweden's best exports. They are also great for opening IKEA Boxes, and shredding IKEA instruction manuals if you are in need of some paper to make a fire, especially when you IKEA product just doesn't work out. ;)

I just got this knife, my second Mora (the first being a Companion MG in carbon steel). This knife is immediately different from the MG in terms of the handle and blade design, but it's still very much a Mora in terms of the sheath and the over style. Like most Mora's the spine is unfinished which doesn't bother me, especially at this price, but is still something I've only seen on Mora's (even dollar store paring knives have finished spines). Now for the part that matters, the edge. When I first tested this knife, it was so sharp that I giggled. This knife really is razor sharp, and I do differentiate sharp on a scale going from paper cutting sharp, to hair popping sharp, up to shaving/razor sharp. I have a few knives that are hair popping sharp, and they remove arm hair with very little effort albeit with a slight roughness compared to a real razor. This Mora removed arm hair like nothing I've seen before. I didn't even feel it removing the hairs. Definitely a great buy for a sharp knife.

Really well made product, I will buy it again if I loose or overwork mine. At that price, I might never sharpen it and just buy another! :D

This is a very comfortable, affordable, and practical knife! I have had this knife for about one year now, and have used it for bushcraft, cook preparation, fishing, backpacking, and miscellaneous work on a farm. This little guy has kept up and then some! Before I purchased this MORA, I had only one -- the MORA Light My Fire. I hadn't received it as a promotional gift and simply had never taken that one out adventuring. But this all changed when I saw the prices for these Moras. I purchased this Craftline Pro S (Stainless Steel) for a mere $10 and decided to take it straight out to the field. It's first test was a three night backpacking trip through snow, blizzards, heavy rain, and lot's of mud in the Cascade Mountains. It preformed marvelously. The design of the hard plastic sheath made it ideal for strapping anywhere on your pack. I had it on the shoulder strap. I loved the weight! It's lighter than some folding blades. It took to ever task. Now, it's not necessarily something I would baton with, but the Sandvik Steel is surprisingly strong. And sharpening the scandi grind is a breeze.

I totally stand by this knife. However, it is only around the $10 price mark, so there will be a few trade off's. A lot of people do NOT like the plastic sheaths. I can understand that, but their are some benefits, such as using this knife for a water excursion (took it on a raft trip down the John Day River, OR) and not having to worry about damaging the sheath or blade. The handle is the same way. Molded plastic handles means gutting fish is A-OKAY, but from the pictures I provided, you can see where I have damaged the pommel end.

After purchasing this knife, I promptly ordered a handful of carbon steel blades from MORA. There is sooooo much to enjoy from this blade. If you really don't like the handle, orders some blanks. For the price, this is one of the best fixed blade knives out there.

    PROS:

What can I say, it's a great low cost knife in stainless steel, sharp when new and with a solid sheath with a drain hole. This one is not a full tang but it is a partial tang which I believe is 50% into the handle moulding. This knife isn't designed for beating down on such as battening wood (in order to split wood for a fire) so the partial tang is more than adequate. The blade it fairly thin so the chisel grind does not impair slicing with this knife.

Overall a very good knife from a well established and respected company which won't break the bank if you happen to lose it. Thoroughly recommend. Other knives I use are Hinderer, ZT and Busse.
