Not exactly as ordered but ...
I currently own and use a Lavatool Javelin PRO Duo Instant Read Digital Meat Thermometer for barbecuing year round at home. It is very quick and accurate and I highly recommend it even though it is expensive. This summer I decided to shop for an instant read thermometer for my weekend get away and shopped for a more reasonably priced version of this tool. What keyed me into the model that I ordered was a quick reference food temperature guide printed on the body of the thermometer. Now that's handy, I thought. It also included a laminated food temperature guide to stick to the fridge. The Lavatool did not include these guides and a temperature chart is are critical to getting it cooked right. Refer to the attached picture of what I ordered. What was delivered (see other photo) was a similar looking meat thermometer with no guides at all. While I was disappointed, I decided to test the accuracy of this new tool against the more expensive Lavatool. To my surprise it was just as quick to read the temperature and its reading was within 1 degree of the Lavatool. I like that the Lavatool display rotates making it easy to read but this is not an absolute must have. Based on the the test, I decided to keep the thermometer that I received and rated its accuracy, ease of use and readability at four stars. I have not had this thermometer very long so I cannot comment on its durability. I dropped the overall score to 3 stars because I did not get exactly what I ordered.
