- Reviewed in Canada on July 10, 2025Verified PurchaseThe DROK Adjustable DC-DC Buck Voltage Converter worked great as a voltage limiter for the gauges in my 1977 Dodge CB300 van. I chose it because I wasn't sure what the final voltage needed to be. It turned out that 5 V worked fine.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 16, 2025Verified PurchaseGood.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 29, 2023Verified PurchaseI like the fact that the voltage is adjusted via the screw on the unit. The downside is that it was not obvious which way to turn the screw. Eventually, I noted that tuning clockwise would reduce the voltage. This is only possible with a voltmeter and power supply connected.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 6, 2025Verified PurchaseDoesn't regulate anything, 12v in, 12v out. Tried adjusting POT but no change. Piece of crap, don't buy!!!!!
- Reviewed in Canada on April 25, 2025Verified PurchaseWe were having trouble with the water heater in our travel trailer since converting to lithium iron battery system as it runs over 14 volts normally. This knocked it down enough so the circuit board could work properly.
- Reviewed in Canada on February 2, 2023Verified PurchaseIt arrived on time. It's a great idea if it works without causing other issues. These r used to protect electonics, in my case the equipment is worth over $3,000 so I'm gonna highlite my concerns with hope answers will be provided. Adjustible voltage is a great feature with this particular product. Use an in line led meter to confirm output. Waterproof feature is great as used in hard water battery box. Installed Drock dc/dc voltage regulator in battery box to drop and regulate 20v tool battery to 16 v to power fish finder, lights, and USB ports for hard water fishing. Dialed it down to 16V per led meter installed after master switch. I initially installed Drock in line before master kill switch directly after twin Dewalt 20v batteries in parallel. I suspect it is drawing power slowly from batteries as batteries had fraction of charge after a week despite master switch off. This is a concern mfg has not advertised. I am also concerned bout several reviews on line stating it can get very hot and melted wires on similar applications I saw after I received it. If this is true, this product should be recalled or explained better. Don't leave batteries hooked to this unless can be disconnected by switch or unplugged. MFG SHOULD INVESTIGATE AND EXPLAIN CONCERNS OR RECALL AFFECTED UNITS ASAP. I note input and output wires are very light guage, Maby 20gu or lighter?? Maby should be upgraded to 14 gu considering posted amperage capacity. I later moved master switch between batteries and Drock to avoid battery draw if its happening. Also posted reviews and ratings do not identify between the many components marketed by this seller so reviews may be misleading to potential buyers of any product considered. I've noticed this other items on 鶹 so may be an 鶹 issue?? Will be interesting if this review gets mfg or 鶹 attention/response?

- Reviewed in Canada on July 6, 2022Verified PurchaseI used it on my motorhome bathroom fan. You will need a very small screw driver to adjust voltage like glasses set of screw drivers. I adjusted to voltage to 12.3 shut power off 4 to 5 times and the voltage never changed. Works great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dropped that 20v right down to 12v
Verified PurchaseI used this device to easily drop the 20 volts from my Dewalt battery down to 12 volts to run a small pump. Worked flawlessly. Allows voltage change with the adjustment of a single potentiometer. Glad I found a review for another product where someone referenced this device as I had never heard of a buck converter.

5.0 out of 5 stars The one you want.
Verified PurchaseUse is for 5v dash cam with LiFePO3 battery in parking mode. Replaced another brand DC buck converter that had a handy LED readout but also a 0.4w parasitic draw. This DROK has no detectable draw when powered up. Maintained a rock steady 5.00 vdc output when tested with 12.0 through 13.7 vdc input.
Another benefit to this design is the stout build. The other DC buck converters are "very fragile". I will be surprised if this ever fails. DROK products have not failed me yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little converter! Compact and accurate, couldn't ask for more.
Verified PurchaseBeing so small and compact, this converter exceeded. my expectations. Albeit waterproof, I wouldn't feel quite right placing in an ultra wet location without some degree of protection, but that's just me, I'm probably a bit too cautious.
I tested the unit and works extremely well, quite accurate and doesn't heat up.
We're using this to reduce 12 volts DC down to 8 volts DC for stage lighting, that being custom flickering candles, think Haunted Mansion. Running at the recommended 9 volts causes them to run hot and also taxes the three incandescent bulbs, so we lower the voltage to help the candles last a great deal longer.
This small converter is perfect for this application, allowing us to adjust the voltage with some degree of precision.
Great part!

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the trick.
Verified PurchaseThis item is easy to get working. Connect the input voltage, adjust the output voltage. (Using the miniature adjustment screw on the bottom of the unit.). I was able to adjust between 1.5VDC to 18+ VDC using 12.5VDC as input. It arrived with one of the mounting tabs broken off, but that didn't affect overall function, or my ability to mount the unit. Satisfied for the short term. I will have to update later if anything changes.

5.0 out of 5 stars good efficient power supply
Verified PurchaseWhen I 1st powered this up it was ‘railed’ high. With 12v in it had 11.18 v out. I turned the adjustment pot counter clockwise (a lot) with no change. Seemed dead on arrival. I turned the adj. pot clockwise and it (eventually) began to change the output voltage. I set the voltage to 6.5 volts (what I need for my application). I then applied a variety of loads. The next time I powered it up it was at 6.66 volts. I couldn’t figure out why it shifted. Perhaps my setting pot was dirty? I went on test how efficient it was. With a 12v supply and no load it draws just 1.7 mA. As I increase the load to 1.3 Amps the output voltage dropped just 0.03 v, and its efficiency ranged from 85% to 93%. Those are very impressive numbers for an inexpensive stand alone power supply. I still haven’t pinned down the voltage shift. I let it sit for a couple of days, and the voltage remained constant. I changed the set point back to 6.5 volts and it seems to be staying constant. I don’t know what other say about the problem of the output voltage moving around, but it seems to have gone away. It is installed and working fine.
