    So these do work well and hold tight, we use them to hold different items to the door (wreaths, Halloween decorations etc.). I just left them on our door and exposed to the elements. They do hold up well and the magnet is incredibly strong. The silver polish is worn and some slight surface rust has formed. I'd rate them higher if they were better at being exposed to the elements for long durations. Still, they work.

    I have attached to my front glass storm door so I can hang decorative wreaths throughtout the year.

    The item is of excellent quality, with a smooth pit free, shiny finish and the weight is substantial.

    The magnet is powerful and hard to budge once you've put in place, so be sure that you put it where you want it the first time. :)

    So happy I finally found the solution to the problem of wreath hanging on the glass storm door of my home.

    Oh boy, never knew buying a metal hook would be this scary after reading the reviews. I ended up reading the instructions, but underestimated the magnets are strong. Well, big mistake they are. Don't remove the foam, because it will be very difficult to get these 2 magnets apart! I had to use a hammer to hit one slide of the magnet, so one slides own from the other. Then, I used a flat tip screw driver to push between them. This worked successfully with no injuries. REMEMBER, when applying to glass keep foam pad between at all times.. Not sure if I would recommend this product as it could be a hassle, but thank goodness for the reviews that made this less stressful.

    These are powerful magnets. I put them together and they were almost impossible to separate. I bought them to hang a wreath on double pane glass. When I put the wreath on the magnet it fell down. I had better luck with a single pane window. I am using the magnets on an outside storm door. The magnets hold up to the elements.
