Each easy-to-use set includes a hardened steel hole cutter, a matched mandrel/anvil pair, a hardwood backer block and an assortment of grommets. We offer three kit sizes (1/4, 1/2 and 3/8-inch) as well as the option to purchase additional grommets.

Used 1/2" grommets, but will place order for 3/8" and 1/4" versions as well.
Small niggle: it would be nice if the cutting side of the punch was made easier to see and also if some form of storage protection of the punch edge was provided.

Worked OK for my application, but i would prefer something that squeezed. Also, be aware that the directions indicate to double the thickness of the material by folding, but i can tell you that the material in my gazebo roof was pretty thin to even begin with. I didn't quite strike the gromet with enough force and it sat kind of loose. The tool was pretty greasy but i cleaned it with a rag before use. Likely this is from manufacturing, but i'd expect a little cleaner product new out of the package.

I found this little grommet installer quite easy to use. You'll need a sharp knife for cutting the hole (the included hole cutter not so good), and a decent hammer for the actual putting together, but if you only need a few grommets this an excellent value and gives perfectly fine results.

If I were doing a bunch of grommets, I'd probably opt for one of the hand held devices that crimps the pieces together, but for the price, if you only need a few grommets, this works great.

The grommets were nice quality, and, except for the hole cutter, the other included pieces were nicely made and good quality.

It was simple to do- first use the cutting tool to make a hole in the corner. Then add the grommets and hammer them closed. That’s all there is to it.
