Great kitchen thermometer packed with features
I have two cooking thermometers I use, an instant read one similar to this and one with a wired probe to monitor as the meat cooks - this Zenwen meat thermometer provides the best of both worlds in one convenient package at a really great price point. The unit has a slim profile and an easy-to-read backlit display that makes checking the temperature of meats and liquids simple. You get an instant temperature reading in about 3 seconds so the oven or grill won't have to be open longer than it needs to allowing you to keep your appliance at temperature. The dual probe design also lets you use a wired probe in the oven or grill to monitor the temperature in real time as it cooks. You can set an alarm so it notifies you when you reach the set temperature. The foldable probe is a convenient feature for storage and safety and it has a magnet on the back so you can attached it to the front of your oven for easy monitoring. It's also easy to calibrate to ensure you're getting proper readings. The auto-off function helps conserve battery life as well. The temperature range goes up to 572 degrees fahrenheit which means it's great for pretty much any kitchen application including candy making. It's also simple to use and operates on it's own without the need of an app which is nice. It's been working well and has been very handy. I would recommend this dual probe kitchen thermometer from Zenwene.
