From the manufacturer

In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) to help recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions.
SUPERMAN
Once the world’s most powerful and iconic Super Hero, Superman personified a higher calling to truth and justice and a deep respect for all humanity. The absence of this fallen idol, whose sacrifice stunned the world, inspires the formation of the Justice League.
CYBORG
Part man, part machine, Victor Stone is a former star athlete at Gotham City University. After a horrific car accident nearly cost him his life, he was saved when his father, scientist Silas Stone, used an Apokoliptian Mother Box to reconstruct his body. In the process, Silas turned Victor into a human computer, organic with biomechatronic body parts. In other words, a Cyborg.
WONDER WOMAN
The world’s first and foremost female Super Hero, Wonder Woman embodies the unrivaled force and grace of a born warrior with the genuine compassion of a true humanitarian. The first to join Bruce Wayne’s team, Diana’s natural confidence and unmistakable intelligence make her an indispensable ally.
THE FLASH
Barry Allen is an excessively energetic student attending Central City College, where he studies criminal justice with the hope of one day freeing his incarcerated father. More than eager to team up with crime fighting icon Batman, Barry’s remarkably quick wit is surpassed only by his ability to move at hyper-speed.
BATMAN
As Gotham City’s greatest vigilante, Batman has fought single-handedly for years in relentless pursuit of justice. Now, after witnessing Superman’s ultimate sacrifice for mankind, Bruce Wayne’s restored faith in humanity compels him to bring together a team of the greatest Super Heroes in order to save the world.
AQUAMAN
Half human, half Atlantean, Arthur Curry is an outsider who does not feel at home on the Earth’s surface or at sea. That is, until the world is threatened and he joins Batman’s newly assembled team of heroes.
DARKSEID
Ruler of Apokolips with dreadful intentions, the New God Darkseid spurs an all-hands-on-deck response on Earth when he orders his servants, led by his slavishly devoted general Steppenwolf, the tormentor DeSaad, and swarms of winged Parademons, to recover the Mother Boxes buried on Earth in order to turn the besieged planet into a fiery and desolate landscape, and humans—and Metahumans—into his own tormented minions.
STEPPENWOLF
An eight-foot-tall warrior from the nightmare world of Apokolips, Steppenwolf is general of the Apokoliptian army. With enhanced strength, agility, and endurance, Steppenwolf is a master with any weapon, but prefers to wield his Electro-Axe to crush his opponents.

Product description
In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.

- Reviewed in Canada on September 23, 2021Verified PurchaseGood God.....what DC/WB can accomplish when all parties cooperate and the divisiveness that informs both the organisation and its fans can be cast aside. This film is scoring a hefty 9.2 out of 10 on numerous credible sites and having watched this four hour, two minute opus, I can assert that the praise is warranted.
What WandaVision accomplishes for Marvel/Disney, JLA- Snyder Cut matches....well close enough for DC. Where WV redefined and blew up the genre and expanded the MCU for its next phase, JLA proved in one tight, succinct volley that when this organisation can get its act together, great things can occur. For the first time in a long time, DC is receiving earned positive feedback for giving fans the presentation of what Justice League should have been. Now I know it is vogue to crap on Joss Whedon, but the man's vision of 2017's Justice League was not the s-show it was purported to be....When one sees the cut Snyder intended, one quickly recognises however that the darker themed newest release was how the film should have been delivered, whether in segments or as one mass volley.
The film is... linear, broken into several parts with due titles, it plays as a nearly episodic series. As a film it unquestionably works. Ray Fisher has made headlines of late with his war with Joss Whedon, Walter Hamada and DC/WB. While I can't speak to this matter, I can assuredly attest that Fisher's Victor Stone/Cyborg part was exceedingly and severely cut for the Whedon version. Here, his character is very well developed. While he is far more grim and less likeable, Cyborg is far more grand. His expanded role makes his presence integral to the film and works that might have followed. His tale is all the more tragic and his character's deepened gravitas works astoundingly well.
Ezra Miller's Barry Allen/Flash I felt was the weakest point in the Whedon Justice League. While I still think his depiction of the fastest man alive is fairly poor and that Miller is absolutely miscast...Flash does get to shine in this extended cut. An opening segment featuring him visiting his jailed father Henry (Billy Crudup) was solid. No less so was his rescue of Kiersey Clemons' Iris West. The scene was nigh balletic and hinted at an attraction between the two which stands to expand over time and potentially the next 'run' of DC films. Even in battle sequences throughout the film, the Flash was more assured and less inept. The source material presents Barry Allen as a brilliant scientific mind, grounded and capable. Miller's Allen is socially awkward, weird, annoying and often hard to like. His role, like Cyborg's, does make him far more key to the narrative.
The villains get a huge upgrade in this film. Ciaran Hynds' Steppenwolf, due to horrific CGI and poor plot development in the original incarnation, was just...poor. Here, with improved re-shoots, better CGI and a firmer backstory, he becomes a fearsome force. CGI is still DC's 'kryptonite' and Cyborg's armor more often than not is the clear example that they have yet to get it fully even. Still... the Snyder cut offers a vast improvement. Steppenwolf's orgin tying into DeSaad (Peter Guiness) and ultimately Darkseid (Ray Porter) makes the whole mother box/unity arc more sensical and grander in its presentation. The re-vistation of the old world battle of gods, aliens and mortals versus Darkseid was damned epic. Such scenes are where Snyder's stop/start shines.
The character who gains the greatest salvation however is the one who should have needed it least, Superman aka Kal-El/Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). In fact, his death from the previous critically drubbed B Vs S: Dawn of Justice gains greater significance. That all Cavill's sequences/scenes were shot pre-beard removal debacle and that the studio opted to use the lowest grade of modification to 'remove' said beard after the fact and actually release said product is galling and gives one pause as to whatever their motivations might have been. In JLA- SC (Snyder Cut)- Snyder doubles down on the messianic overtures that framed his vision of Superman. From his death throes in the opening of the film....with due epiphanic resonance of his death's significance- Superman's rebirth is a clarion call that reignites the now aptly titled Snyder-verse. Seeing Superman in tender moments as well as harder fight sequences is damned superb. Seeing Superman cutting loose is something to behold and that is very much the point. That Cavill is all but prepped to be cast aside shows an astounding short sighted-ness on DC/WB's part. Reboots be damned. The battle scenes both featuring him and the other Leaguers are more crisp, refined and brutal. The film's now "R" rating is not an idle move to gain more adult viewership, it illustrates a more gritty version of a film very much based on wars
The Knightmare segments are a mixed bag as they were in earlier endeavours but they do indicate a long term epic vision Snyder might have developed and delivered. Zack Snyder has opined that he had a five picture plan for the DCU...sadly we probably won't see it. The critical response has to feel good though. The DCU continues to falter. WW1984 was a mess. The CW's television series are a sea of wtf moments and near or imminent cancellations. If anyone on high..at AOL, parent company, is paying attention..the fans cry of 'bring back the Snyderverse" should surely be an aspect of due consideration.
Far more peaks than valleys, strong gravitas laden performances and the proper allocation of respect to characters worthy of it make the Synder Cut a film well worth watching. Four hours flew by and the feeling of what is and what just could be resparks a needed interest in DC. When the Russo Brothers, directors of Marvel's greatest films, give Snyder a shout out, this is evidence that ultimately the case of superhero fatigue is nowhere near imminent and that there is room enough for both entities. This Justice League stands as a masterpiece and is very much worth your time.
A final kudo must be given to Harry Lennix, the actor who plays General Swanwick. As a hero in plain sight, his two segments in this film were absolutely terrific. It is good to know that as fans we can still be nicely surprised. JL- Snyder Cut is just outstanding.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 23, 2025Verified PurchaseEven though this is a remake from the first justice league, it's identical but much longer and so much more added to this movie. I was impressed of the extended amount of footage. Had this one been out before the first one, I would have bought this one instead. If your a movie buff like me, this is a must see or buy movie. I have the entire set of DC and MARVEL movies and this is a great movie to my collection.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 24, 2023Verified PurchaseDirector, Zack Snyder finally gets to show everyone his vision before the studio took control and obliterated the theatrical version with reeshoots and change in tone and story. This time he gets to show us what he had created and it pays off beautifully. I'm glad the studio finally allowed him to finish the effects and do some additional shooting to complete the movie, even if nothing else comes from it I think fans should be satisfied that we finally got this. It's a tremendous spectacular action-packed adventure that is a visual treat for the eyes and ears. It delves deeper into the story and characters bringing everyone together in an explosively fun and thrilling ride. The all-star cast just soars in this film. They all give star-making performances and earn their part in this universe and these characters. The movie is gorgeously shot work of cinematic art. It's 4-hour runtime shouldn't scare anyone because this movie was built to entertain and it does exactly that.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 7, 2023Verified PurchaseI admittedly had a lot of trouble actually receiving the film in a working state. I originally pre-ordered my copy and it arrived on time. However, Disc 1 (the first half of the film) was defective so I had to exchange it for a replacement. Then the replacement copy got lost in the mail, so I had to get a refund. Then I bought the film again with my refunded store credit when it went on sale. Only then did I actually receive a copy of the film that plays.
As for the release itself, it is is one of the best 4K Blu-rays that WB has put out recently. The streaming version of this movie is already great, but the physical release looks even better. The enhanced HDR grade really makes the visuals pop in a way that the streaming version doesn't (ironic for a film with such a muted color palette). My only complaint is how limited the bonus features are. There is only a single featurette broadly talking about the production of Justice League and the DCEU. Considering all the behind-the-scenes drama, I was kinda hoping they would include more material that really explored the making of this film (the original production, the reshoots, the highs and lows of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign, and the actual process of going back and finishing Snyder's version). The physical version also lacks the Black and White "Justice is Gray" edition (which remains exclusive to streaming). I'm personally not too bothered by that version's exclusion since I'm not a big fan of that version, and it was probably not included because it would have added two additional discs to what is already a 4-disc set (2x 4K, 2x Blu-ray).
Aside from that, this is a top-notch effort that does the movie justice. Fans of the film will be pleased.

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING COLLECTION
Verified PurchaseI have always loved the DCEU. This is an exceptionally good collection for DCEU fans. I especially loved that they have included the Ultimate Edition of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice in the collection rather than the theatrical cut of the movie. Also the Zack Snyder's Justice League was also in the collection, which is a pure blessing.
