First, Yubikey is the standard by which all others are measured. They are not cheap, because when it comes to your security you do get what you pay for. Buying through �鶹�� was, at the time of my purchase, exactly the same as buying through Yubico's own site, with the added bonus of free fast delivery from �鶹��.

My advice to new buyers is to not be overwhelmed. Even Yubico's own web site shrouds the use of the key in way more complicated mystery than actual practice requires. There are ample Youtube videos, but the simplest approach is to just use it on an account that you are not afraid of being locked out of. You will learn it is much more straightforward than the words make it seem.

It is absolutely essential to buy two of these things though, so if you lose one you don't lose access to everything. This is not just marketing hype. If you're not ready to buy two, don't buy one.

Even if you aren't an Apple user you should still buy a back up key in case you misplace one.

100% recommended device and especially this particular one, as it is the most convenient one to use cross-platform, including the Yubico Authenticator app.

BUT !!! make sure you invest in this only if you are willing to get another spare Yubikey. It is not mandatory to have another one and not having one is certainly not a limitation.

However, in case you misplace your Yubikey, it is impossible to bypass the security measure without the key. So I would strongly recommend you getting 2 key; although, the other one can be one of the cheaper models, will save you money. Keep the spare one in a secure place.

as someone whos youtube channel(phrsharp) has been under attack many times im here to share one fact:
just because you think you got the key it does not mean your Gmail account for examle cant be hacked,
you see,when you open a so called "baddy file" your session token ( cookies and stuff) will be send to them, as a result, its like you shared your pc with another guy in a differnt country, so they DONT NEED the Yubikey to change your credentials. so:
