    The size is perfect for my needs. I'm using them for weight in the back of my short box pickup. They will easily hold 100 lbs. of sand, but I only put in 75 in order to make them easier to handle and by shifting the sand down the length of the whole bag they lay flat and wont ever roll. I think 300 lbs should do the job and by being flat they won't interfere when loading other stuff in the box. So far I'm pleased, the stitching could be more robust but nothing has let go and they look easy to get resewn if needed, time will tell.

    We are in a rural area, off a really steep hill, no gutter / curbs. When the rain dumps, it runs down the edge of the paved road like a river and slowly eats away where our driveway connects to the street. Placed two at the bottom of the driveway, and they provide the protection needed, diverting the water away from driveway lip. The other two have been placed at the garage door entrance where we have terrible drainage. These canvas bags are made of a heavy, tightly woven canvas. After filling, they are heavy, and won't be moving anywhere by nature or by accident. I really like the longer bags vs multiple smaller bags ... to me, better functionally, and in appearance (looks less like a war-time bunker setup.).
