- A piece of cloth or paper

Add the baking soda and essential oils to the jar. Cover it with the cloth or paper, and then secure it in place with the string. When the scent starts to fade, give the jar a shake.
Remove Stubborn Carpet Stains
Here’s how you can eliminate stubborn carpet stains with just baking soda and vinegar:
- First, cover the carpet stain with a thin layer of baking soda.
- Next, fill an empty spray bottle with a 1:1 mixture of vinegar and water and spray over the stained area.
- Wait up to an hour or until the surface becomes dry.
- Scrub the baking soda loose with a brush and vacuum the residue.
- The stain should now be completely removed. If there is some baking soda residue left on the carpet, wipe it up with a damp towel.
Storage
- Once the cardboard box has been opened, the best way to store baking soda is in a sealed zip-top bag.

Colossal Double Chocolate White Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 1/2 cups butter or margarine (softened), 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar, 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, 1 cup milk chocolate chips, 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1/2 cup white chips, 1 cup chopped nuts (lightly toasted)
- Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat the eggs and vanilla extract into the butter mixture.
- Gradually stir in the flour mixture. Stir in the milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chips, and nuts.
- Drop the cookie dough by level 1/4 cupfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake the cookies for 12 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool for 2 minutes on baking sheets, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
- Enjoy!
Baking Soda Face Mask
Ingredients:
- Juice from 1/2 lemon (or 1-2 drops of lemon essential oil)
- 1-2 tablespoons of Yogti baking soda, 1 teaspoon of honey
In a small bowl, mix together lemon juice (or essential oil), baking soda and honey. You want a paste-like consistency. If it’s too runny, add more baking soda. If it’s too thick, you can thin it out with a little water.
Remove all makeup and dirt with a gentle face wash and pat skin dry. Gently apply the mask mixture to your face using your fingers or a makeup brush. Be careful not to scrub.
Let the mask sit on your face for about 5-15 minutes. You might feel some light tingling and tightening. I recommend applying in the morning and whipping up a breakfast smoothie while you wait!
Remove the mask with gentle circular motions using warm water and a soft washcloth. Finish with your favorite moisturizer.

Irish Soda Bread Recipe
- 250 g. strong white flour
- 250 g. wholegrain wheat flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt and bicarbonate of soda,18 fl oz./500 ml. buttermilk
- Heat the oven to 200 C/400 F/Gas 6. In a large bowl, mix together the flours, salt, and bicarbonate of soda. Add the buttermilk and stir to form a loose dough. Lightly dust the work surface with flour and turn out the dough. Knead the dough gently until smooth.
- Shape the dough into a ball and flatten to roughly 2 inches thick. Using a sharp knife lightly slash the surface of the dough in the shape of a cross.
- Place the dough on a greased, baking sheet and bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until well risen and a light brown color.
- Leave to cool. Serve and enjoy!
