The grill press does not have the Y symbol of the Yellowstone and does seem a original product due to absence of the symbol and very poor package quality.
This is a great meat press perfect for steaks but the raised "Y" is not good for things such as smash burgers and other dishes that require a flatter press surface. It has a great weight and is built with the same quality I've grown to expect from all the Lodge prducts.

- Made in USA - Does not say pre-seasoned (but that's ok because that pre-seasoning is never very good)
I love cast iron cookware. I was happy to see a larger, round press to work in a fry pan. I have experience with this brand and had found it to be decent quality stuff. So I did not do my due diligence and I regret requesting this.
I thought "Yellowstone" was a reference to the National Park. Apparently not. I'd watched 2 eps of that show and hated it. Had thought Mirren would save it but sadly not.
Regardless of the show, it arrived rusted and pitted. There are dimples that would collect particles. I could save the rust (but it should not have arrived that way) but the pits make me uncomfortable enough that I won't use it.

Man oh man I love Lodge cast iron. This is as well made as all of their pans. I wish I was an actual cowboy and could tell you I was going to use this on my steaks over a campfire. Instead, I will use it to flatten grilled chicken breasts and panini-type sandwiches. I am going to channel my inner cowpoke when I udo so though!
