Accurate sizing and circle shape!
Love it! Comes with a ring sizer and the ring sizes on the mandrel are all accurate. This is close to the professional ones I use in my jewelry classes. I’ve bought other ring mandrels online and they weren’t actual circles because they’d have ditches on both sides for the measurements that made the rings into oval shapes. So I love how this one doesn’t have ditches and is the proper mandrel shape so it can create accurate rings. So far so good. I haven’t used it yet so hopefully it holds up!

The product is very well made. It’s machined aluminum which is nice because it will not tarnish and weighs 1/3 that of stainless steel. The rings are well made as well.
Overall the finishing is good. No burrs or sharp edges. The engraving is also well done and easy to read.
I don’t understand the complaints in here about this product. I’m a mechanical engineer and this is manufactured to a good degree of quality. For people who are expecting this to be a mandrel… it’s not, and your expectations are unrealistic. It’s meant to be a gauge and it’s clearly stated as such. If you want an accurate stainless steel mandrel you’re not going to get one at this price. You don’t use a micrometer as a wrench do you?
I tested the accuracy of the gauge against a few rings of different sizes and found it to be accurate. It also matched the ring gauges themselves. When using the gauge, you need to pull rings onto it to a point where they are gently seated. No more, no less.
Note: on the rings a “-“ means 1/2. So 9- is 9.5 or 9-1/2. Just in case some people are missing that when they’re using it.
Overall very satisfied with this purchase.
