I enjoy crafting of all kinds. I have several wind chimes hanging inside my home. I think I have about 5 or 6 at the moment. There is a certain joy hearing the faint tinkle of chimes dancing in the wind.
I am experimenting with using old teacup to make chimes. There is something called waterfall chimes. With waterfall chimes, you hang each chime a certain distance from one another and slowly lower each chime in a spiral. It’s pretty to look at and create multiple tinkle effects. I am determined to create one of these chimes but know it is a lot of work.
This set of chimes, priced at $13.59 (June 2025) comes with 50 pieces. That will be more than enough to create a decent waterfall chime plus have a lot left over to create more wind chimes. These pieces are very lightweight and as such, they don’t make a lot of noise. There is a very slight tinkle sound at best.
The chimes are elegant. There is a pattern down the length of each chime which serves to create a bit of a shimmer effect especially when they catch the sun and sway in the breeze. If you enjoy crafting, I think this set of 50 chimes will give you a lot to work with. As mentioned, just be aware that the sound is very quiet.
