-great for all 40W applications - table lamps, floor lamps, pendants. -the core lamp (sans colour, bottom right button!) is bright enough, certainly close to 40W... the colours, of course, have less luminosity (not sure what other ppl are complaining about...) also you have 3 different levels for each colour, great for mood lighting!!! -I friggin' love the remote (but DO NOT lose it!) No more switches on bedside lamps, floor lamps... especially great for older people, lazy people, and people that are both, like me!!! Seriously, I tried a few BT/wifi bulbs and they were a pain in the butt, especially if you only have a 5G connection. Plus you pay soooooo much extra for the chips inside the bulbs and it takes waaaaay longer to mess around on an app than to just zap it with an infrared remote... brilliant!!! Seriously, out of the 100's of items that I've purchased here, this might be the best one on a price/performance basis... even if they last just a year or two.

    The variety of features & colors with the remote is great and having 2 remotes is very convenient (batteries are included).
    I really like that they only use 3 watts of electricity, however I can't confirm that for certain I'm going by the product details. With the remote and varying brightness it can provide it's suitable for a variety of situations. Also being able to use as a standard white bulb which is plenty bright for doing tasks if being used in the kitchen for example.

    Remote control takes one CR2025 coin battery. I checked a few different dollar stores around my area and the batteries can be purchased easily and inexpensively if need to be replaced down the road.

    I also made sure to test each bulb to make sure they worked properly out of the box.

    I only started using them a couple of weeks now so I will update this review once I know how long the life of the bulbs last. I currently only use one static color at a time, and am not using the color rotation feature so I'm not sure if that would shorten the age of the bulb yet.

    We initially purchased these for a party and they worked great! We were able to easily swap them with other light bulbs and choose the colours that suited our needs best.

    To our pleasant surprise, we have started using these in our home regularly as well. Our bedrooms now have these bulbs in them, and I particularly enjoy the orange setting on these. It's a nice alternative to a warm white bulb, and I feel like it helps me slowly wind down after a long day on screens. The colour replicates some of those sunset/sunrise lamps, especially with the ability to set the brightness to one of three options.

    One issue we've encountered with the bulbs is the number of remotes included. There are 6 bulbs and only 2 remotes, so we can only really use 2 of these bulbs in our home at a time. It would be extremely convenient if there was an app that could be used with these bulbs, but I understand that this might not be a feasible suggestion. That being said, the lack of remotes does get in the way of their use at times.

The remote is surprisingly responsive, best if you stand within 10 ft of each bulb and point directly at it. I replaced my outdoor lights with these bulbs and used them as Christmas lighting, temperature has dropped to minus 5 with no issues. Bulbs are inside lamp frames, somewhat protected from rain/snow.

    This was a gamble purchase for me. I'm extremely happy with these LED lights. I have two uplighter lamps going with them most of the time, colouring my ceiling in changing colours. I find I've been happier, having that extra colour in my life. The only reason I haven't bought more is because they came in a box of six, and I've only used two so far! I have four extras, and I expect they'll last a lot of years, so I may never need to buy more. But I could not be happier with these bulbs, or the fact they came with their own remotes, instead of requiring you to have a cel phone and download an app. This is much more simple, and a wonderful option for someone like me, who is non-hearing, and doesn't own a cel phone.     So, the box arrives and it's pretty small. The box is about 1/3rd smaller than the average 6-pack of bulbs, so immediatley I'm not impressed. The bulbs are equally smaller, so again, not as impressive.

    But, I installed these - four in a smaller room (two in each overhead light), and two in a lamp for my office.

    On their brightest setting, they compare to the light emitted from a 40w bulb. The standing color is a warm-white, so nothing unexpected. The colour-change feature is great, the remotes work well.

    Honestly, for this price it's a great deal if you're looking for color-changing lights and you want more than 4. Recommended!
