    It’s only for a beginner because of the price point. The weighted keys are Yamaha’s standard. It’s close enough to a real piano to practice. I have been playing for almost 50 years and play advanced Chopin pieces. This is a great product. And the price is well worth it.
    Definitely ideal for the beginner in that you have a volume control and headphones…unlike a real piano. So, great for the aspiring student that loves practicing for hours everyday and won’t make the family suffer!

    Piano sounds great, is smooth, and feels as close to an acoustic piano as you could expect from digital. I highly recommend going to a store like Guitar Center to get a feel for the different brands and models. When I tried this one, I was sold. Sits a bit high if you use a stand instead of the furniture mount, but overall it's still a joy to play.

    P143: Clean authentic piano sound. Great feel, smooth key action. Unfortunately the headphone jack is, most inconveniently, on the BACK PANEL!
    I switch back and forth daily with the phones vs speakers, depending whether other household members are home. The keyboard is on a nice wooden stand about 6" away from the wall and it's a real pain to pull the keyboard stand away from the wall then crouch down looking for the right hole back there (have to use a flashlight due to the stand design).
    It's my only complaint about this piano. Yamaha is a fine reputable brand but why they blew it with the headphone jack placement on this model, I will never know.
