The Yamaha APXT2 is a 3/4 size version of the world's best-selling acoustic-electric guitar, the APX500III. This well-constructed, compact guitar makes a great companion when you're on the road. The APXT2 features an ART-based pickup system and Yamaha's proprietary tuner, offering great sensitivity and accuracy for quick tuning. The APX T2 also includes a gig bag.

    my girlfriend could not do a Bm barre chord she is a beginner and we were travelling and we saw this guitar she fell in love with it and I tried it too it feels nice and looks great. I have not plugged it in electrically yet but its nice and affordable. There can be some fret buzz if you play too hard because of the scale so I would try ultra lite strings next time just to see if that helps. but its not a problem.

    The guitar looks great and is just the right size for a 9 year old! The on board tuner is a great addition to the guitar and the case is just what a 9 year old wants. The sound is, however, really really tinny! Amplified it sounds ok and for $200 can't really complain. Yamaha, being the oldest guitar company in the world, however, should do a bit better on the sound. Their adult guitars are excellent. I've been playing for 60 years so probably just picky about the sound. Different strings (Addario or Savarez) should help.
