Good Waffle Maker Once You Figure it Out
This double waffle maker is pretty simple and easy to use. It's got non-stick plates and 5 levels of browning similar to a toaster I suppose. There are 2 cons that were minor for me but worth noting: 1- The instruction booklet that it comes with does not actually give an idea on how long to cook for, nor does it mention what level of browning each number represents or what temperature they would be. I did a trial and error, figuring that 3 would probably be mid level temperature and choose 2 minutes as a starting point. The waffles were cooked within 2 minutes but looked very pale to the point where I thought they might be raw on the inside ( they weren't) . When I did the same test on level 4, the waffles weren't brown/toasted either though they were dryer then the first batch. Safe to say, 3 for 2 minutes is sufficient for soft fluffy waffles. 2- They do take a lot of batter so that's something to keep in mind. For a frame of reference, if you're using store bought pancake mix, the typical preparation will make about 3 full size waffles. Now that I've figured out my timings and how much batter to make for the people I'm feeding, I'm happy with this waffle maker and I've used it several times a week since getting it. I recommend it to anyone who has the time to figure out how to get the waffles they way they like it.

    With any appliance, you need to tinker with it to figure out the settings and timing required to make perfect waffles. Once you figure this out, you are off to the races, as they say.

    This waffle maker has a duel cooking surface that can be run independently, meaning that you can cook one waffle longer or hotter than the other for a more crunchy mouth feel. I for one like this. My wife likes her waffles a little more crispy than I do. I prefer fluffy and lightly toasted. With this machine, we are both happy.

    The non-stick plates are non-removeable. This is a little more difficult to clean up after you are finished. However, cleaning the plates afterwards is not an issue and they clean well without the need to remove.

    The cord is a little too short for my liking, another foot would have been perfect. We are fortunate to have an area on our counter close to the receptacle to use this appliance without issue. If there was an appliance in the way (i.e. coffee maker) this would prove to be a bit challenging.

    When using this for the first time, experiment with the heat settings and find out what it can do. The manual included is a good way to benchmark, but the waffles created where not as great as they could be. I suggest looking online and find a recipe to fit your needs and time the cook time with a timer to see where your 'sweet spot' is for the perfect waffle.

    As waffle makers go, this is really easy and more durable than our last one. The lightweight construction of this machine may be a strength for this model. Our last waffle maker was a tank and weight a lot. As a result, the hinges broke under the stress of opening the machine. I cannot see this happening with this maker. However, time will tell.

    All in all, this is decent two-at-a-time waffle maker, that also makes a decent grilled cheese sandwich. I like that there is a dual temperature setting and that it is fairly easy to clean up after. The value is in line with my expectations for a waffle maker of this quality and features. Recommended.

    This waffle maker does a very good job of producing crispy on the inside and fluffy on the outside waffle. The depth of the waffles turn out somewhere between a traditional waffle and a true deep belgian waffle.

    Our grandkids like to make waffle ice cream sandwiches and this provides a crispy exterior with crevices to absorb the ice cream. Being able to cut the waffle into triangles allows for a perfect size waffle ice cream sandwich.

    The waffle maker seems to be good quality and the non stick surface works well, even after multiple waffles clean up is nothing more than brushing a few crumbs out of the way. I find the addition of a small amount of vegetable oil in the waffle mix ensures that the waffles don't stick.

    My only critique would be that the power cord is very short, no unusual for an appliance but it doesn't even reach the outlet on my kitchen island. Something to be mindful of is that this waffle maker is very lightweight, which is a good thing for movement and storage. However, I find that it can be easily knocked over when both lids are open.
