We threw an Art theme birthday party for my 9 year old daughter and bought these for one of the activities. I thought I’d need an adult to do this but my 13 year old niece ran this activity easily.
I wish I read the instructions first so I knew how long these would take. Each kid chose their colours to make a ball, but it takes at least 45 min before they can play with it. They took turns going to set their ball and then went off to do other things. At the end of the party the balls were ready and everyone loved them.

How it works: You need to assemble the moulds (just click them together), pour crystals in to the top, let it sit in water for 2min exactly then leave it for 15min to form. Taking them out of the moulds was tough and that was mainly my job. They are still soft and damp at this stage, so you have to leave them for another 30minutes minimum to harden. We put them on a plastic disposable plate. (They will stick to paper towels).

The largest mould needed 4 packs of crystals to fill. Kids layered colors to make beautiful designs. All 11 kids were able to make a ball (1 person made two) and we still had about 4 packets of crystals left over.

The balls bounced high! Be prepared for lots of bouncing at the end- who could resist right?

The instructions had after care storage Instructions which no kid will follow- so I do not think they will last long. That was surprising & disappointing to me but it’s a kid craft so expectations can’t be high.
