Heat treated steel T-Slot Nuts with black oxide finish feature an imperfect thread in the base of the T-nut to eliminate any danger of screwing the clamping stud through and damaging the table slot. Sold in packs of 4.

I bought a new milling machine for my home shop recently and I snagged several hold downs with it, but for some reason none of the T nuts. Rather annoying, but it happens. These were exactly what I needed and cheap enough that I stocked up on about 12 of them to have around. I've currently used them to secure my 6" vise to the table, but I'm sure they'll come in handy for other fixturing as well. They fit the slot as expected and the threads are smooth. Would recommend.
These are priced right, but you will have to retap them. They will not hold the stated bolt (1/2 13) for more than a turn. Far too little to set your vice in. I've spent too much time getting these right and believe the threads may not be as advertised (1/2 13). It's cheap enough that I would probably get again. But if a better name branded solution had been in stock, I definitely would have just gone with that and avoid the hassle.

Solid quality, but double-check the sizing. I ordered these T-slot nuts for a table with 5/8” slots, and while they do technically fit, the tolerance is snug. If your table’s slot has any wear or is slightly undersized, you might have to do a little filing. The black oxide finish looks nice and consistent, and the threads were clean on all four.
I used them with 1/2”-13 bolts and didn’t have any thread issues or wiggle. They grabbed tight once torqued down. No burrs or rough edges either, which was a plus. That said, they sat just a little proud in my T-slot—maybe a few thousandths. Not a dealbreaker for me, but worth noting if you're aiming for flush or low-profile setups.
Overall, I’d buy again, but I might look for a slightly looser fit next time if I know I’ll be sliding them often. If you’re using them in a fixed clamping setup, they should be fine right out of the box.
Looks well. Made. The stud and bed size is right. The one thing that differs these from the ones that came with the mill is they're not drilled and taped completely through the bottom. I kinda like this better because with the original ones I have used over the years, the threads on the studs get messed up when they're tightened all they through the nut and turn on the bed slots. So far so good.
