These 5 x 8 Inch note pads are in good size and lightweight for carrying everyday. I tested the note pad with fountain pens, no feathering, no ghosting, and no show on the back of the paper. The alcohol marker will bleed through the paper, but it is normal. All kinds of pens write smoothly on the paper. The note pad has lines on both sides.

    These 5" x 8" note pads are made of quality paper and have a cardboard backing. I like that these pads aren't thick, they hold 30 sheets and they are lined on both sides. The sheets are perforated at the top for easy removal and keeping the pad tidy. The 1" area on the left is separated by 2 red double lines to the main writing body area. They look like a smaller version of the 3-hole binder sheets we used to use, but without the holes.
    These lined pads can be used for taking notes in a classroom, at the office for jotting down messages, a daily to-do list...
    Decent price point at $12 for 6 pads - $2 each.
