The stronger PPG coating helps prevent chipping for added exterior corrosion protection. The secure STAR drive helps reduce bit slippage and a sharp Type-17 point with a patented ASTER thread provides quick starting and effortless drilling. These screws can be used for a wide range of interior and exterior applications. Primary applications include: Post to pole framing, Insulation panels.

Midway through my deck I became disappointed in the costs for RSS screws going up and issues in getting the sizes needed when I needed them.
So went deep searching on �鶹�� and elsewhere.
These were the best I found for price, availability, and as I found out installing ... quality.

Drove fine with a Ryobi impact driver and had no issues with stripping or fitting bit in to the head.

The coating on them appears superior to other brands I looked at ... but only time will tell.

For the cost and what you get ... I don't think they can be beat.

These are somewhat thicker screws compared to the average construction screw. These are very similar to the GRK brand with the torx style head. Nice that this a washer style screw They call it a "Star" bit on the box but it seems to be torx. The "star" bit they provide is incredibly short. So they do cheap out on the supplied driver bit alot considering what they charge for the screws. AND THESE ARE MASSIVELY OVER PRICED. You are only getting 50 screws so if you are doing a deck or outdoor projects you are going to be spending hundreds on your fasteners.
They are coated and have the PPG logo on the box and supposedly guaranteed not to corrode for life of the project. Sounds impressive.
This supplier is American Fastening Systems from Maplewood MN... II says this on the box. Right below that MADE IN TAIWAN. Hilarious ... Can't even be made in America but leads people to believe made in the USA.

I do a lot of outdoor wood working projects and I use a lot of Wood Pro screws. They are consistently of good quality, well priced and available in a lot of sizes and configurations. These are heavy duty 1/4 inch screws, seem solid. I like using these washer heads to stop pull through on soft cedar and the color blends well with cedar.

They claim the coating is weather resistant and rated for ACQ Pressure Treated Lumber. I have used it extensively in treated Lumber and they appear the same today as they did when I applied them in my very wet area. I trust these screws to hold and will probably out survive me

The included bit is serviceable, But I am a bit of a bit snob, and use a personally preferred bit and save these for "loaners". But they grip well and work, But I have not used them extensively to report on longevity. Look at it as a freebie and not be disappointed
