Great!
5 out of 5 stars
Great!
I had many different insects in these flowers ❤️❤️. I really enjoyed it. I planted late....like... halfway through the summer and still had success growing these seeds. I saved some and will be planting a new patch in the spring. Most of my garden is native but I didn't mind these as they still fed the bee's and the butterflies. Beautiful mix and easy to grow. Would recommend. Easy even for a beginner!

I still have leftover seeds from this, I've had the seeds for nearly 2 years by now. The seeds still sprout out too, I get them sprouted out inside of my indoor grow box before I transplant them outdoors.

The seeds were all healthy. Was able to cover about 20 Sq feet, very thick coverage, could've thinned them out more for twice the coverage. The zinnias were beautiful! The cosmos plants grew higher than the zinnias. There were a few mystery plants that grew 7-8 feet tall; even after 5 months they produced no flowers. They were the largest plants out of all. Needed a saw to cut through the stalk; too strong and big to pull out of the ground in the fall. No idea what they were. The small flowers were pretty...(orange ones flowered entire 4-5 month growing season, purple ones lived about 2 months. The 2 reasons I didn't give 5 stars...1) the crazy, huge, non-flowering, sucker giants, and 2) the milkweed seeds (I'm assuming there were some in there bc monarchs love, live & lay eggs only on milkweed). I wish the seeds came ready to germinate. Sadly, we had to move. I hope my old backyard has milkweed growing this spring. I also hope new owners won't rip them out! P.s. The bag of seeds is smaller than it looks. Price is fare. Still, I wish I was able to witness a milkweed bloom for any monarchs flying by. :(

I put seeds in water only 2-3 days and I started to see roots coming down. I get very excited already can’t wait to plant them in soil when weather is nicer! A bit pricy for seeds but I can see there are lots in that small bag!

I cold stratified the seeds prior to planting in soil and was very successful as all of the seeds germinated. I will definitely purchase these seeds again.

I did not know there was a difference between tropical and standard milkweed. I am in the migration path for the Monarch butterflies and thought I could do my part in planting some milkweed for a snack. Ordered all new seeds so they can have something substantial to eat

I'm not a gardener by any means. Anything I grow tends to die from neglect or too much love. But I wanted a fun thing to do with my niece and nephew for summer break. The weather has been unseasonably warm and it rained most weekends. These were rarely watered except when there was a dry spell that last more than three days. The two beds were 2" x 6". The sunlight was not that great since our neighbor's trees tend to block out the light overhead. We had a couple of extremely windy days so some of the flowers did collapsed but they are overall hardy little guys.

This was grown late. I started these seeds mid-July and the pictures here were just taken now (early October). The dhalias were the last to pop out yesterday. So it took over 3 months to get most of the flowers to bloom. I am still waiting for one more flower, so I am excited to see what it is. The flowers are small. As you can see, it is mostly greenery and leafage. These are very low maintenance. Soil quality does matter. I did two beds and one was better than the other. I did not see butterflies. But I have seen moths, bees and other flying bugs.

Even if you don't have a green thumb, these should be fool proof. I will definitely buy these again to try next year.

Edit 10/28/23 - Fungus has overtaken my dahlias. Luckily, it does not spread to the other flowers. I didn't realize all the rain that we had was that bad. So for beginners, if you see a fungusy leaf, remove it before it spreads. Or add a fungicide to the soil.

Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2023

To say this is a mix for monarchs might be a bit of a stretch (based on the % of milkweed seeds) but my garden pollinators love these flowers! I have hummingbirds feeding off the larkspur and the candy tuft has attracted so many hoverflies that they've totally obliterated the aphids, including those pesky orange ones who fancy my milkweed! I haven't seen every flower in the mix present itself yet, but it's been a weird spring and I still have new plants sprouting even months after planting. If you just want milkweed go buy it separately, but if you want more pollinators in your yard I definitely recommend this mix!
