Identical to the whisk that came with my 4.5 mixer.
I ordered this to replace the whisk that came with our 4.5QT mixer. We had put the old one in the dishwasher and it ended up tarnished and the black tended to rub off and I didn't want it to get into food, especially white mixes like meringues. This whisk is a perfect fit and replica of our original whisk. It attaches securely in the same way as the original. I think there is a dent in the bowl and both whisks make exactly the same clinking noise. It has worked well on everything we’ve baked so I’m really happy with it.

    The attachment point is designed differently but it works, it holds properly and stays on when the whisk rotates.
    Unfortunately it's hand-wash, not dishwasher-safe, but stainless steel usually cleans pretty easily.
    I couldn't decide between four or five stars due to the fact that it's slightly smaller and doesn't reach all the way into the bottom of the bowl as well as the original but it's also $5 to $10 cheaper than the other options so, for the price, it works as well as you would expect and the tines feel similar to the original (not flimsy). Call it 4.5 stars.

    I got this to replace my official Kitchen Aid whisk attachment which had rusted on the part that attaches to the mixer. This one fits perfectly and works fine. Like the original whisk, it has some sharp edges, and I am careful handling it. I wish it was dishwasher safe, although washing it in the dishwasher probably caused the discoloration of my original whisk. I'm happy to have this whisk which will be a great replacement.

    I was hoping to use this whisk as a replacement for the whisk that came with my stand mixer. This whisk doesn’t compare to the original. It is smaller then the original which makes all the difference when try to do things like whipping cream or eggs. I will spend the money to buy a replacement from KitchenAid.

    Pay attention to the "Do not wash in dishwasher" as the head part becomes gross and rubs off on your hands. It is hit and go, some you can wash, some you can not. This one, you can not. Hand only. Other then that, works great on my Kitchenaid machine and seems to get most of the bottom well. I have used so far in my metal bowl but have not tried it yet in the acrylic one or the glass one. The whisk does a good job of mixing, just wish could place it in the dishwasher to ensure it's cleaner then trusting just my hands and/or sponges/brushes.

    I have an ancient KitchenAid stand mixer and was in need of some new attachments....due to my heavy usage over the years. This looks and feels very much like the original whisk. It fit just like the original and works seamlessly.

    My only concern is the way that it was packaged and shipped. It was simply put in a large slightly padded paper envelope. It could easily have been damaged in shipped with so little care given to its protection.
