About the Author

Thérèse Plummer is an actor, award-winning voice-over artist, and counselor. She has won eighteen AudioFile Earphones Awards and has been a finalist for the prestigious Audie Award for best narration. She has appeared in a variety of television and film roles. As a counselor for adolescents, she spent five years using drama therapy techniques in individual and group settings.



Irene Hannon is the award-winning author of more than sixty novels, including twenty stand-alone novels and novels in the Heroes of Quantico, Guardians of Justice, Private Justice series, as well as nine other series.     Christine Turner moves to Oak Hill to escape a troubling past, but she has an aversion to a handsome lawman with an adorable young daughter. As she and Dale work together to unravel her abusive past, they are surprised to find that they might just have an opportunity for second chances. The romance is sweet but there are a plenty of obstacles for both of them to overcome. I found the romance to be a bit rushed considering both of their past history.
    I have read and thoroughly enjoyed several of Irene Hannon’s novels. This one is part of the Heartland Homecoming series, but can be read as a stand-alone. This has been updated from 2009 as an encore edition. I have no problem recommending any of her novels. Irene Hannon is a multiple award-winning novelist and is a best-selling author.
