    I bought this after the season last year, fed up with pitting the cherries one by one. It would take me four times as long to pit the cherries as to pick them. I used this for the first time this past weekend; I pitted six cups of cherries in five minutes. Most of the cherries came out great with little flesh on the pits however, I got going a little fast a couple of times and ended up squashing some cherries. Just be sure there is lots of room for the cherries to fall after they have been pitted. You will be happy with this product.

    This makes pitting cherries so much easier and saves a ton of time. My only complaint is that sometimes the pits get through because 2 cherries pass through on a single push or because the pit hangs on. You just need to watch the cherries coming out to make sure all of the pits are out. Even with this additional check, you still save a ton of time from the hand held pitters. The unit comes apart quite easily and I haven't had any problems cleaning it.

    a sturdy an easy to set up product, it is a bit difficult on the extra large cherries but did a good job even tho with the extra large, I had to hand feed them in, a normal size was perfect to remove the seeds....with the extra large, it missed a few...best I could find, the plastic ones I think would have broken with the pressure I had to use on the extra large fruit.
