From the Manufacturer
With fragile rain gutters in the way, you can't lean that heavy ladder against the fascia for support on your way up to the roof. But you can work around the problem with Werner's Quickclick standoff stabilizer. The stabilizer works by planting its two stable legs on the roof itself, keeping the ladder rails away from the eave and providing access to the roof's edge. And, the Quicklick has a wide, 46-inch stance between its legs (wider than the ladder) for even more stability than you'd get just leaning the ladder against the side of the house. The long legs also keep the ladder ten inches away from the work surface-the perfect distance for repairing gutters, painting fascia, or installing holiday decor. That's great piece of mind when you're down-climbing with a toolbox from 26 feet up. Best of all, Quickclick, as the name implies, requires no tools to install. A spring-loaded locking latch makes it easier and quicker to install/remove than any other stabilizer on the market. More great features: mar-resistant rubber end caps protect the work surface. Your purchase includes a paint can hook and instructions. The Quickclick is designed for use on all single and extension ladders with 1-1/4-inch round rungs, 1-1/2-inch flat rungs and 1/3/4-inch flat rungs. Note: Not for use on Werner Multi-Master articulated ladders.

- Reviewed in Canada on July 22, 2020Verified PurchaseThis is a great product. It fits on my extension ladders that are not Werner and it looks like it would fit most. It does a great job of spreading your weight out on the roof so you can be safe on the ladder and lean to the sides. The rubber stoppers on the ends are nice and protect the roof, while preventing it from sliding.
Note that once it's attached, it adds a lot of top weight to the ladder, so it will throw off the balance when you try to move it. There's no way to avoid this.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 19, 2020Verified PurchaseVery easy to assemble and works as advertised, definetly makes the ladder more stable and takes the weight off the rain gutters. I stopped hanging Christmas lights on the gutters a few years back because of the damage to them, but with this I will start again.
Although its built for a Werner ladder, it easily fit on an older extension ladder I have which I think is a different make. Would recommend this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Light and convenient
Verified PurchaseI'm a DIY-er with a 1930's single story house. I recently used my Werner AC78 Quickclick Ladder Stabilizer over the course of two full days while replacing all of the gutters on my 1,000sq/ft house. I attached it to a Little Giant Leveler. If you're wondering... yes, you can rest it on your roof and clear 5 inch K gutters easily. Below are my thoughts.
INSTALLATION:
First and foremost, the convenience factor of the AC78 Quickclick Stabilizer is simply outstanding. Installation is a breeze, and it's incredibly user-friendly. The quick-click mechanism is aptly named – it securely attaches to your ladder in seconds, and you're ready to go. No more fumbling with complicated attachments or tools. This alone has saved me precious time on my projects, allowing me to focus on the task at hand.
WEIGHT:
One of the standout features of this stabilizer is its lightweight design. It's astonishing how something so compact can make such a significant difference in the stability of your ladder. Despite its featherweight build, it provides unparalleled support and security, even on uneven surfaces. This not only puts my mind at ease when working at heights but also minimizes the fatigue associated with carrying heavy stabilizing equipment. It's a game-changer for those who need to transport their ladder frequently.
HOW IT PERFORMED
Moreover, the AC78 Quickclick Stabilizer offers peace of mind. With its robust construction and reliable attachment mechanism, I felt remarkably secure and stable while working at heights. It significantly reduces ladder wobbling and sway, boosting confidence in my abilities and helping me maintain better balance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny for the Safety Alone
Verified PurchaseThis stabilizer probably saved my life. I used it while installing lights around the top of my two-story house, especially on the hard-to-reach peaks. Before this, my ladder would slide on the siding, making it genuinely dangerous to work at that height. With the stabilizer attached, the ladder held firm and didn’t budge an inch.
It gave me the stability and confidence I needed to get the job done safely. For the security and peace of mind it adds, this thing is absolutely worth it. A must-have for any serious ladder work around the house.

4.0 out of 5 stars I’d recommend this despite 4 stars
Verified PurchaseThis ladder brace comes in a nice package that is easy to assemble and the design is carefully thought out. The bucket hook included is a nice little bonus. It works well and is far superior to the off brand one I tried first and quickly returned due to horrible quality.
The ONLY reason I can’t give 5 star is because, as nice as this little brace is, the aluminum used is really thin. I know weight is a big factor and lightweight is important when trying to raise and move ladders, but I’d much prefer just a slightly thicker gauge aluminum for obvious safety and security reasons. I believe this design was more about saving money than it was about saving weight. Other than that, if used carefully, it should hold up. Definitely not contractor grade. Occasional homeowner use is fine.
