- Reviewed in Canada on November 13, 2024Verified PurchaseWERA truly is the best brand for all tools. I'm more than satisfied with my purchase, and even though a little expensive, I still prefer to buy my tools once and have them last a lifetime than having to buy multiple cheaper brands over the years. WERA makes the best tools in the world and I would definitely recommend this screwdriver to anyone who uses tools often and respects their workshop.

- Reviewed in Canada on March 5, 2023Verified PurchaseThis is the best manual ratcheting screwdriver out there period. Ergonomic design and build quality is second to none. Metal ratcheting body ... not a plastic mechanism ensures tool longevity. The ability to manually ratchet screws and then lock the mechanism to act as a normal screw driver is what won me over. I have bought 3 to date for bench, tool box, tool pouch and with 1/4" bit inserts kits from Dewalt or Milwaukee you literally have the largest screw driver assortment possible and compact size. I can highly recommend this product and it has now become my go to screw driver.

- Reviewed in Canada on August 18, 2018Verified PurchaseVery comfortable in the hand. Push button on the end of screw driver releases chamber that holds bits.
Six bits: Slot 1,0 x 5 : 1.2 x 6, Philips 1 and 2 , Robertson ( Square ) 1 and 2. The bits are clearly marked.
Bits are magnetised as well as the bit holder Shaft is a 1/4 inch shank so you can use a wrench to tighten more if required.
I really like the metal selector L middle R, Left to loosen Right to tighten middle to use as normal screwdriver.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Ratchet screwdrivers I have ever used.
Verified PurchaseWera!!! you dagone done got it right again!!!
* This screwdriver feels very solid in the hand.
* ratchet mechanism is very durable, most likely all metal construction.
* I ofcourse treat this tool like a baby by keeping it lubricated, including the bits. Most tools and bits rust when exposed to moisture. Better to keep ahead of the maintenence and the tool will return loyalty and dependability to you. I anticipate this tool will last at least a decade, maybe more.... as long as you don't go king kong on it and go beyond its rating.
* I love the feedback tactile and audio. I work in construction and I need to hear the clicks. It shows that the screw is tight and not stripped. * I've snapped screws by my hands so yeah.... I need to hear the clicks. When the clicks start slowing down means I need to dial down my strength to delicate mode asap.
* people complain about the grip being too small. But I prefer this design because I can rest the handle in the groove of my palm and use a relaxed finger and wrist motion at the beginning of the fastening and then switch my grip to King Kong grip and twisting super slow and firmly while listening to the clicks (the butt of the screwdriver exposed at the back of the hand like holding a motorcycle handle). I do tight and maybe one click if I feel the screw is willing to turn a little more. If the screw don't want to turn, I leave it be. I never force it. Also I don't want to flatten the copper wire. If you're going that tight, you ain't no electrician.
Initially, I was unsure if the bit would stay in the driver because I have had situations where the bit from my 11-in-one screwdriver would stick to the screw and come off the screwdriver.... So frustrating especially in hard to reach areas..... So Frustrating.... But not with the Wera ratcheting screwdriver.
*the magnet is strong just the way I like it. I'd rather put a little effort into removing the bit than for the bit to slip out at a horrible time... like hard to reach areas.
Obviously I don't use these non-torque screwdriver in panel boxes because it's not serious if the screws on receptacles are not torqued perfectly (though you definitely don't want loose connections). But in the panel, it is super super serious. I will not go into a panel maintenance or install without a calibrated torque driver. And I done the math, it is cheaper to go to a calibration store and fork off $50-100 every year than to get a torque tester, which is in the thousands of dollars. I mean how long do you really think you're going to be in the field?
Awesome tool Wera. You done did a great job on this one.
