Use the Watts series ET water expansion tank in tandem with your hot water heater to absorb increased water volume resulting from hot water boiler heating and keep system pressure below the relief setting. Use in closed-loop, non potable water heating systems. Durable steel tank with 60 psi maximum working pressure.

Good quality tank from Watts. It was well built and welds on tank all looked good, threading was clean and opening was protected with a temporary plug from manufacturer. I have only recently added tank to my system so I cannot attest to longevity of the product as mentioned in other reviews however I will post update in the future. I have purchased items from Watts in the past and have always been satisfied with the quality.

    The old expansion tank of the same size was allowing build-up of hydronic system water pressure. The T&P dribbled all the time. Installed this one in about 45 minutes. Now, the pressure goes up top 25 - 28 lbs and no higher. This is with a water temperature rise from about 115 degrees to 180 degrees.

    I'm thinking about buying another with just a bit bigger capacity to keep the hydronic water pressure below 120 lbs.
