Also it was much more reasonably priced compared to the retail stores which was much higher in price for one single bulb. Why pay for one bulb at nearly the same price when you can a five set of bulbs for a little bit more. Longevity of the bulb is not determinable at this point as I just put it in a few weeks ago but its much better and easier to install than the older one that was in place.

First off, the bulb is about half the size of the one that burned out but sure lights up the fridge!! It is so bright I went to bed thinking that thing might last a few days or maybe a week it's so bright! So, I'm waking up Christmas Eve trying to figure out why it's so bright. It's the 5000k number folks!! I found out it's supposed to replicate daylight brightness. My old one was 2700k and was almost half as bright as this one, I'm guessing if there is a 2500k it would be half as bright. So now I know for the future what that number means (I guess there is even 1000k which is a 5th of the brightness), I prefer the 2700k but will see if I get used to this one. The old one lasted about 8 years, I'll be happy if this one lasts a couple years. Plus, it's a 2 pack so if it only lasts a year, the 2nd should get me to 2 years!! The base is E26, your standard bulb base so when I say the bulb is small, I mean just the lighted part and not the base.
