Planting Rings are available in 16-inch, 20-inch and 24-inch diameters and are the perfect product for water conscientious gardeners and landscapers who want a no-fuss, perfectly round border around trees, shrubs, roses or vegetables. Unlike most edging, Planting Rings do not require bending, staking or tools to create a round border. Planting Rings are non-eroding, watering basins that retain water until it can funnel to the deep root zone where it is needed most. The patented V-Groove anchors the Planting Ring into the soil, so it stays securely in place. The naturally, UV resistant, 100% recycled polypropylene protects trunks from weed whackers and provides a clean border between grass, trees and shrubs. Planting Rings reduce surface evaporation, cut down on invasive weed growth and prevent hillside erosion. Planting Rings can also be adapted to couple irrigation systems. Planting Rings Sizes are. * 16” diameter for 1 gal. plants (holds 2 gal.) * 20” diameter for 5 gal. plants (holds 3 gal.) * 24” diameter for 15 gal. plants (holds 5 gal.)

Good quality but expensive. Would rather this product be two pieces and snap together but it is what it is. Harder to put over larger plants/trees, gotta get this done early on. This is my second time purchasing, first was smaller circumference. Go for the larger.

I love these water rounds! I am growing herbs in my back yard, and every time the yard man comes, he cuts them down by accident. The water rounds create a perfect barrier that protects my herbs from being cut down and keeps in the perfect amount of water to help them grow.
I used these to isolate the water for 13 trees in the yard. They were an easy install. I like how they have some small flat teeth on the bottom that you can use to wiggle them into place, and they remove a bit more dirt for a deeper fit. I'd like to send a thank you to Tom Shappie, the president, who brought me out a single ring to my house when I inquired into getting a single since I only needed one more to complete my yard. Great product and great customer service.

Whe have established fruit trees but watering them and not wasting water in Southern California had been an issue: water spreading far from the trees feeding weeds rather than the trees. When I saw these I decided to give them a try when we planted new fruit trees. So far they have been a success, concentrating the water around the trees and maximizing watering instead of feeding weeds far and wide.
