The Age of Aquarius dawned. Harry Boyle forgot to set his alarm. Inspired by the era of live-action TV series such as All in The Family comes Hanna-Barbera's generation-gap animated comedy series Wait Till Your Father Gets Home. Tom Bosley provides the voice of Harry, an affable 40-something Everyman and suburban father of three whose daily routine is anything but when he faces the provocative questions of the make-love-not-war era. Women's Lib, civil rights, hippies, sexuality, communes and the Cold War are some of the hot button petals in this series' flower-powered laughfest. They're all part of Harry's world, where a man's home is his hassle. This complete series set of two seasons and 48 episodes is highlighted by guest voice appearances from Monty Hall, Don Knotts, Phyllis Diller and Rich Little.

    This series was groundbreaking back when I was younger. Now, Though some aspects are dated, Some have relevance and connection to life's challenges still.
    It's a definite, have a watch.
    I'm hoping more and more classic cartoons are released on dvd and blue ray and streaming services.

    Gosh I've been waiting since 2007 since the DVD was released to own the complete 48 episodes of WTYFGH I remember when I was a kid watching every Tuesday tea time 5.20pm here in England and enjoying them a real blast from the past when I watch I'm driven right back to the 70s Personally i'm not really bothered about the extras not being included as long as I have all the episodes and also the picture quality is outstanding!

    After long last, we get to see the Complete Series of Wait Til Your Father Gets Home on this Blu-Ray Collection. For most who have the First Season on DVD, and either had to watch the Second on cable or on the Internet Archives, you can now see the Boyles' antics here.

    In the Second Season, we see Harry Boyle encounter several celebrities, such as Phyllis Diller, Monty Hall, Don Knotts and Don Adams. As well as some new adventures with the Boyles, such as Harry attempting to take the family on a vacation from television. Where the antics predates the Griswalds' cross-country trip in Vacation, as the Boyles attempt going camping. Another Alice's Diet, where Alice finally goes to lose weight impress a boy, much to Harry's chagrin.

    Other episodes include Harry receiving a big check from the IRS (by accident), Irma attempting to find a cause for her charity to support. As well as old Ralph and his vigilante group causing more trouble than they're worth.

    Included with the Blu-Ray is a Retrospective on how the series' artistic style reflected the times.

    Overall, this is a great collection to have for the fans of the series. Also great for cartoon collectors, I definitely recommend getting this Complete Series.

    I can’t express how impressive it is to have the complete series available, let alone on Blu-ray! Let’s dive into it now, the first season (Discs 1-3) all the episodes are impeccable both in audio and visual! Season 2 begins on disc 4 and it starts out a little rough. The first episode, Bringing Up Jamie is probably the worst episode quality wise. It was definitely taken from 16mm printable other source material than the season 1 episodes. After Bring Up Jamie the quality levels of season 1 return with just a handful of the remaining episodes in DVD-esc quality and 1 or 2 of those in 16mm printable other source quality. All remaining episodes are in the same quality as Season 1 impeccable! The episodes with DVD or 16 mm quality that I noticed are below.
    Bringing up Jamie - 16mm
    Boules on TV - DVD-esc
    Jamie’s project - 16mm
    Mama Loves Monty - DVD-esc
    Chet’s Pad - DVD-esc
    Birdman Chet - DVD-esc

    The audio is good throughout all episodes.
    If you are purchasing this early on the release period then you will notice the 2 special features listed are not included. DO NOT BE ALARMED, I have been told that Warner was working on a Disc replacement program to replace disc 6 and add the special features!

    This set is 100% worth it!! To have all the episodes available is a huge win in! The quality of I’d say 95% is amazing!! Only those couple 16mm print episodes aren’t great but like I said the set is worth it!

    Awesome collection. This collects all the episodes including the ones that were left of the DVD because of the famous guest appearances. The only thing that is missing is the pilot episode, which appeared on Love American Style. I believe the episode can be found on one of the seasons box sets for Love American Style.
