About this item
- THE MOST POWERFUL ELECTRIC BLOWER: Turbine tech spins out 800 cfm at 135 mph. No other electric blower is doing that.
- VARIBALE SPEEDS: Different tasks require different speeds. You can clear corners and driveways quicker at a slower speed, so we let you dial it down when you need to.
- HYPER-STREAM: We’ve included an attachable air-nozzle for when you need a focused air stream in tougher places
- LIGHTWEIGHT & COMPACT: You can control all this wind power with just one hand. It’s only 6.6 lbs, and designed in such a way as to direct all that force at the leaves, not at you.
- DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT BETTER. DO IT WITH WORX: WORX tools are engineered with cutting-edge technology, and above modern efficiency standards, so you can build a cost-effective tool collection that’s been designed to last.

Product description
The 800 cfm – 12-amp Electric Trubine Blower is, quite simply, the most powerful electric blower in the marketplace. Other 800 cfm (Cubic Feet per Minute) blowers don’t put out wind power at 135 mph. Physics shouldn’t allow it, but our engineers found a workaround. And even though you’re going to want to blow at that speed all the time, you can use the variable speed control to dial it down.
When you need even more power than the 800 cfm/135 mph can provide, there’s the Hyper-Stream nozzle that focuses all the airflow right where you need it. Believe it or not, all that power can be controlled with one hand.
The whole unit is only 6.6 lbs., and that amazing Turbine tech creates a wind tunnel that is easy to point. The cord retainer keeps extension cords from pulling apart, even on snags. And you don’t need any tools to put it together. Time to go clear that lawn.

Best blower I have ever buy

- Reviewed in Canada on June 21, 2025Verified PurchaseThe Worx WG521 Electric Leaf Blower is a real air blaster. After viewing and trying out a few new battery operated leaf blowers, I couldn’t justify the cost of battery operated leaf blowers and opted for a traditional electric corded leaf blower that more than outmatches any battery operated one. J chose the Worx WG521 because of its powerful 800cfm and 135mph capabilities. When it arrived at my home, I immediately tried it out on my driveway. What a blaster!! It easily moved any debris on my driveway onto the curb with ease and only on the 1st setting, can’t wait till the fall to engage it on 3 rd level. This leaf blower will blast any debris away wit ease, you can feel the push back it gives especially when set at the highest level. I would recommend this leaf blower for its’ continuous power, ease of use and cfm . It’s a real air blaster.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 8, 2025Verified PurchaseHappy with this blower except for rotary speed switch seizes when operating in cold sub freezing temperature. I use it in winter to blow snow off vehicles and driveway, usually less than a couple inches of fresh fluffy snow. Not a big deal but switch freezes up so can’t control speed or shut off and have to unplug from power to stop it. After it warms up in the house it work fine.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 9, 2025Verified PurchaseVery strong blower excellent quality
- Reviewed in Canada on March 10, 2025Verified PurchaseThis leaf blower is more powerful than any electric one I could find in the big box stores and for a great price. I did two lawns all fall and I had people borrowing it to do theirs. A fraction of the time without going gas powered!
- Reviewed in Canada on March 24, 2025Verified PurchasePowerhouse. Can’t get better than this. It has power to complete the work regardless of working with snow, leaves, grass, rocks whatsoever.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 17, 2024Verified PurchaseI've been using leaf blowers for about 22 years, but this unit changed my life forever. This is the real deal. We bought a property with 1.6 acres of mature trees and it was impossible to do it with my usual blower. Ordered this turbine and it blew my mind. This thing has so much power, it's incredible. They told me to get a $600 backpack blower, which i couldn't afford... i got this instead and i think it has more strength than the backpack ones. Absolutely incredible... would give 6 stars if i could.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best leaf blower for your money
Verified PurchaseSo here is my honest review. After researching for a while and narrowing it down to three corded leaf blowers, I have come to the conclusion this one is the best. I purchased this one (WG521) and upon arrival immediately opened it to try it out. It has been raining for two days and was actually sprinkling a little when I tested it out (don't try that at home.) The second it turned on and started moving wet leave and pine needles I knew I picked the right one. This thing is a beast. It hates leaves as much as you and wants them gone. I opted for the corded leaf blower because I only need leaves gone on my driveway and near my house and porches. If you are like me, corded is definitely the way to go simply due to the cost and the undying power you get from the wall. To get this kind of power from a battery, you have to spend $$$. Gas powered blowers are great, too, but you have to feed them. So as long as portability isn't an issue, this is the way to go. I'm sure lesser blowers will work, but why spend the same amount of money for less MPH and CFM? So far, I am completely satisfied. If you purchase one of these I do recommend at least a medium duty extension cord because at 12amps this thing may need more than a light duty cord at 100'.
Again, if portability isn't what you need, this machine is. You won't regret it. It "Worx" and it works good. (Pun intended)
Back to the driveway. This thing handled piles of wet leaves and pine needles with ease. I can't wait to try it out on a big pile of dry leaves. I'm pretty sure a squirrel or small dog got caught in the gale this thing put out and I haven't seen it since. On a serious note, make sure your arms are sturdy. It's light but remember for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction and your arms are holding that reaction. I found myself switching hands frequently because of the force this thing has. A good problem to have really. Still beats raking.
I hope this helps. It was worth every penny. Knowing what I know now, I'd have spent more.

5.0 out of 5 stars This thing is incredible!!!!
Verified PurchaseThis is the 3rd blower we have bought in the past 5 years. We started off with the Toro 51609 electric, which was great and I posted an excellent review about it. But over time we got tired of dragging the cord around and decided to try the EGO 765 cordless since we already had the battery from our EGO string trimmer.
The EGO is much more powerful than the TORO, but it's big and heavy and the battery life on turbo mode is shorter than we would've liked. It's fine for blowing out the garage, or the front or back patio's but insufficient for our yards. We have a large front and back yard with many Magnolia trees which are notorious for dropping piles of large, heavy leaves. Simply buying more (or larger) batteries didn't seem like the best solution since they are pretty expensive.
After watching some reviews online we decided to try this Worx 800. It's fantastic. About the same weight as the old Toro and much lighter than the EGO. They claim it is as powerful as a gas blower, and I think they are right (FTR we don't own a gas blower). Subjectively speaking I would say it's twice as powerful as the old Toro. We can move the tree leaves from a distance (even in grass) instead of having to walk up close. My wife has to use both arms when it is on high because it actually will push her arm back.
6 MONTH UPDATE: Still going strong but I wanted to post new information. I recently had a chance to use my neighbors gas backpack blower the Echo PB-9010t to clear my yard. I won't lie. That thing is a beast and is much more powerful than this Worx, but let's keep things in perspective. The Echo is a commercial level machine and cost $700.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most power you could buy, for an electric!
Verified PurchaseI have a tree with small leaves which get buried in the grass and dirt. As others have written, this really has massive blowing power. But you can control the degree of blowing power with the switch on the handle. It may be the best thing I’ve bought in years, it’s so great.
It’s not the best for small jobs. For the driveway and porch, we have a really great cordless 40v Kobalt blower with 480CFM that my wife uses daily, purchased as a close-out model the same day at Lowes. Great tandem pair, but with this model it would take twice as long to blow the yard, and the battery would die before I finished the job.
This WORX has very, very strong blowback power. People who do not have a reasonably strong arm and shoulder should absolutely not, repeat, not buy this. I can manage for a short period with my weaker arm, but I generally use my stronger arm. (I’m in good shape - I have lifted weights my whole life, just to maintain strength).
If you have lots of leaves, or if they get buried, this is absolutely the best possible electric leaf blower to buy. You truly should get this WORX blower model - a fantastic bargain for the power. I give it the strongest possible endorsement.

5.0 out of 5 stars More powerful than trivac
Verified PurchaseIt’s more powerful and lighter than the worx tri vac. Should make leaf blowing easier this fall. Last year I battled with the trivac, which works, but it’s heavy and while powerful, not this powerful. Pro tip, this thing puts out so much air that it lifts the unit on its own, so effectively you are carrying much less weight. It will tire your wrists though after a few hours. I wish worx made something this powerful as a backpack unit.
Update after 2 years of use
-------------------------------
This is still by far, the best electric leaf blower I have used, and I suspect it is better than most gas blowers. It's been reliable, and it is still a beast. I still wish Worx made a backpack version of this. One thing I'll add, wear hearing protection, especially at the highest, it lets out a high pitched scream. Anyway, long story short, don't even think about it - just get this, and a proper wire to drive it, you won't regret it.
