These replaced 5 of the 6 knobs on a GE PGB975SEM1SS stove. The old plastic knobs had deteriorated because of the hight heat coming from the oven vents when using the broiler. That will never happen with these ones. NOTE: when removing the old knobs, the metal retainer inside the knob might be left behind on the shaft. This will cause the new knob to stick out when you try to install it. Simply remove the old retailer from the shaft with a pair of pliers. Also note, the 6th knob contols the lower oven and is a different configuration than these and is not included in the set.

Thank goodness we found this product. The original knobs for our GE Profile Gas Stove were actually plastic and ended up melting over the years (why would a manufacture even put plastic knobs on a gas stove?).
